And, surprise. surprise, apparently they found a "Right Sector" (Ukrainian Far-Right group) hideout right under the Ukrainian positions in a literal basement. Apparently, the right sector guys just left their flags, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. -esque patches and literal membership cards lying around in there.

To me, this seems way too convenient to be anything but a Russian glowop to justify their narrative on the Ukranians.

More like the opposite: if we don't do shit about this then that means that we wont do shit about Taiwan, which is partially true since if the chinese manage to deploy enough forces all at once we would have a massive tactical disadvantage with our fleets getting decimated by ASMLs launched by J-20 as they get to Taiwan, so we're not even gonna try.

And their airforce its nothing but F-16s and old Mirages, they have zero chance against the current chinese fighters. Even ukranians have the same flankers and fulcrums the russians have, even if not updated.

Article 4 has been triggered. Depending in what country you live in, that's a fucking escalation that show it is indeed HAPPENING. It's a precursor to Article 5 being invoked. If you believe our lying politicians when they say anything, much less what they say about Russia, you're pretty dense yourself.

Edit: Poland, Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania have triggered NATO Article 4.

Wow, it's like it was a mistake to expand NATO after the Soviet Union, to former Soviet satalites/territiores, who have centuries long blood feuds with Russia itself.

I would not be surprised if those countries just pull out of NATO and form their own Slav Defense pact over the course of the next few weeks.

I hate to say anything that could remotely be interpreted as defending Putin, but is it possible (or even likely) that Russia in general and Putin specifically don't WANT the Ukraine, they just don't want a NATO enemy literally on their border?

Putin is smart enough to be hard to read and on top of that expert at that Russian thing of never just directly saying what your motives are, but seriously, if he wants something like "don't join NATO and plus we get to keep using the deep water ports in your country," what's the big deal?

my point is, there is a LOT of business and economic activity going on in developed countries that really isn't of any value. i picked the hooker versus steel example because it's nice and clear, but in practice the lines are often very blurry and so this whole thing seems impossible to measure or quantify. but it is real nonetheless, and it is inflating the fuck out of a lot of countries GDP values.
