I know I've already made a couple of jokes about it, but I really do hope that Super Sus and his friends are doing okay and aren't in any danger since they all live in Kiev, so they're square in the middle of shit going down.

Hell, it was only two weeks ago that they were all gopniking it up exploring one of the old Chernobyl facilities down the road from the main reactor building, swinging around on cranes in the middle of the February snow. A true microcosm of how to live your best life in an impoverished former Soviet satellite state. Stay safe over there, Susanin.

The west is full of galaxy brain pissants. Canada wants to remove Russia from switch cutting them off from international trade completely. Telling Russia has nothing left to loss. Russia might as well go ballistic after that.
Putin knew this shit was coming. He's not stupid. I'm pretty sure he had shit exactly like this in mind when he decided to go ahead and do it anyway. I don't think he's going to react irrationally to stuff he deliberately set in motion. Just according to keikaku.

I am increasingly embarrassed as an American that this weasel-faced KGB fuck has played every President since and including Dubya like a goddamn fiddle.

I don't even know what the fuck he actually wants, which is how he likes it, but I'd be willing to bet that whatever scheme he has in mind and whatever benefit he wants, he'll get it. That fucker.

Pasta requires water. It’s good for like natural disasters and general distress but for an actual war I think you’ll rather want MREs and the like.
Uncarbonated water in glass bottles is incredibly cheap and has unlimited shelf life. Even with MREs you still need water anyways. So stashing some drinking water and buying a decent survival filter is good practice in any event. Not that I think anyone needs it in this case.

I just want to still have pasta available for everyday cooking once the broader population goes panic buying again.

"HOW DARE YOU CRITICIZE MUH FWEE MARKET!?" - Lolbertarians.

Whenever you try to explain the difference in creating value to exploiting that value to fwee market proponents.
Most libertarians believe in Austrian school economics, who's main gripe with mainstream economic theories is the over reliance on statistics without regard to the actual quality of the economic output. They often argue that the medical industry should not contribute to GDP, because medical intervention represents a loss in productivity, not a contribution.
