I still don't quite get it either. I still can't see the Ruskies pretty much permanently occupy large swathes of a potentially hostile/resistant Ukraine.
Also as invasions by Russians go, they've been acting with a fairly uncharacteristic level of restraint and avoiding excessive civilian casualties, almost as if they're a civilized country. They aren't, but the mask is still on a bit. It becomes a lot more difficult to cut deals where they get access to ports and this NATO shit goes away if the people who have to sign on it haven't had friends, family and loved ones killed by Russians.

Maybe I'm :optimistic: but imo this shit is not going to Defcon 1 or anything like it.

I'm going to guess there won't be many. If you flee your war torn home because you don't want to fight Isis/Taliban/etc you don't exactly strike me as a person who will stand and fight for the place you immigrated.

Once again, I'm thinking recon patrols stumbling into each other, the first video I think that's even the two sides yelling at each other to try and figure out who those silhouettes with guns at the other side of the street are. I don't expect the Russians to make a concentrated night push, so this is just the feelers trying to find out where the strongpoints are.

EDIT: Or it's just retards with guns, see previous page.
Could very well be. There have been reports of infighting in Kiev all day, which has been brushed off as "fighting saboteurs".

Why is it okay for "rogue" actors like that glowop bullshit anonmoose to go after russia, but if russia responds it triggers some bullshit with NATO?

I get it, it's okay when we do it.. But am i missing something? All these nato countries are giving some aid to ukraine, but they are calling for belarus to be lumped in with russia.. It is more than just rules for thee, but not for me or am I missing something? I mean i probably am, I am pretty clueless, heh.
the rules are whatever the people in power say they are.

Keep underestimating the chinese at your own peril, they already have a supercarrier being built and their ASMLs are good enough for the Navy to admit we don't have any proper countermeasures.
Not a supercarrier. Also not a supercarrier. Also not a supercarrier, but it might have electromagnetic catapults, but conventionally fueled. So no power projection. But hey, it won't have ski ramps, so it'll be a real carrier.
That "copycat" fighter? smaller radar signature than even the F22 because they figured out how to launch a missile without leaving the doors open for every radar in a thousand miles to spot you. And they have already build hundreds of it, its not like the Su-57 of which there are less than 20.
Do you mean this? There's between 24 and 150, going by estimates. Canards on a "stealth" design. Also Russian engines, because the Chinese suck at engines.

Pretty sure him openly encouraging nonmilitary civilians to take up guns and fight, and saying he'll arm all citizens "regardless of age" to go and attack Russian forces, is legally a war crime.
How? As long as he's not arming kids or forcing the noncombatants to hold guns at gunpoint.

You guys can sperg and Russkie stan all you want. I'm glad Ukraine isn't just rolling over to let Russia ass rape them with no resistance. I want this to be as painful for Poutine Basketcase as possible.

Long chance, I know, but if Zelenskyy actually has the balls to go down fighting, I'll put a fucking poster of him up in my room. When was the last time a nation's leader was willing to do the same?

I can understand Russia not wanting to be hemmed in by NATO, but lets be real, NATO was never going to INVADE them. NATO has too many anti-war non-jingoistic members. If the Ukraine had joined NATO, it wouldn't have presented an existential threat to Russia, except maybe in Putin's mind, just been an economic and political thorn. It would have meant that Ukraine was off the table forever for taking back as a puppet state or actual territory.

Fuck Russia. I hope Putin's kicked a hornets' nest.
