Two pieces from a 30 Minute and an Hour Challenge.
Broken images
Also I was there for the stream and the horse was p great

I really like the one on top--the fox (I think) with the blue roses. Did you use photo manipulation on the flowers or are they drawn?
Oh, thank you! And I used Photoshop, just messed around with the colors a bit :P I had already spent hours on the painting, I was too tired to paint flowers on top of all that, haha!

This is my most recent color job. When I saw the original pic, I got the theme of that despite all the cruelty and ugliness in this world, love can endure and make us feel alive. The artist said that wasn't what she had in mind, but really liked my interpretation. Thus, I felt inspired to color it.

I wanted the citizens to look diseased to show the ugliness of the background while giving the lovebirds innocent, love-related colors. The Black Cat's work uses a lot of minimalist color so I wanted to honor that as well. Once again, this is colored in crayon.

'Been going through a bit of an art slump lately, but I would like to share these:

defense_against_dolphins_by_dabrandonsphere-d9gi141.jpg

This gorilla, who has somehow fallen into the sea off the Central African coast, is defending himself against a ravenous pack of bottle-nosed dolphins. I think he's doing pretty well so far, though both sides have taken bloody hits.

Their gentle and heroic image aside, bottle-nosed dolphins are predators and have been documented attacking and killing other animals (especially harbor porpoises) without apparent cause. So I can totally see them harassing a gorilla who was unlucky enough to fall into their territory.

How does Dakotaraptor steini celebrate Thanksgiving? Why, by feasting on turkey, of course!

In all seriousness, galliform birds (the order of birds which includes turkeys, pheasants, and chickens) go back to the late Cretaceous around 90-85 million years ago, so Dakotaraptor supping on them isn't out of the question.
seafood_by_the_seashore_by_dabrandonsphere-d9gykqc.jpg

80 million years ago, along the shores of the Western Interior Seaway that once covered the central United States, the tyrannosaurid Lythronax argestes is helping itself to a washed-up sailfish.
hollywood_honey_by_dabrandonsphere-d9itfyc.jpg

I wanted this character (no name yet) to look like an A-list actress from the so-called Golden (or Classical) Age of Hollywood, between 1930 and 1960. I picture her specializing in the epic historical or Biblical genre of films, like the ones Cecil B. DeMille (ofTen Commandments fame) used to make, and enjoying a "sex symbol" reputation like Marilyn Monroe.

"And lo, the beast looked upon the face of beauty. And it stayed its hand from killing. And from that day, it was as one dead."

Hopefully beauty won't kill this beast, but bond with it instead.
