The retarded seals clapping for this deal made will 100% sever Russia from western Europe economically, essentially forcing them to ally with China. Meanwhile, the price of oil (and everything) in every EU country is going to skyrocket, especially singling out Germany.

It's to make them detonate before hitting the armor. It has nothing to do with the fuzes beyond making the missile detonate before its optimal detonation distance. A Javelin uses a shaped charge just like damn near every other missile/rocket which is designed to penetrate armor. Thus it does have an optimal detonation distance.

No, its not to make them detonate before hitting the armor, its to prevent it from detonating entirely. You are aware of what stand-off is right? Most warheads aren't even finished forming by the time they hit the main armor of the vehicle, you would need at minimum 2-3m of spacing to see any impact on the penetrator's performance. That cage isn't going to do jack shit but make the warhead stronger . Pic rel is charts on standoff for a 100mm warhead with a 45* liner iirc
