The interesting thing I noticed about this war is how annoyed the Western Powers are, they were fine with the Afghan invasion and the Iraq invasion, that killed over 2 million. But this one is annoying them.

This one doesn't have the ball in their court and it just pisses them off to no end. I can absolutely believe the claim that the Biden administration told Zelensky not to negotiate with Putin but to instead have the US negotiate for Putin on Ukraine's behalf. They need to be in control.

No, its not to make them detonate before hitting the armor, its to prevent it from detonating entirely. You are aware of what stand-off is right? Most warheads aren't even finished forming by the time they hit the main armor of the vehicle, you would need at minimum 2-3m of spacing to see any impact on the penetrator's performance.
