God damn but this thread has devolved into a level of spergery and assmad I haven't seen since the "Knights vs Samurai" threads on the old SFI. Only with even less actual information. Does the idea of some hodgepodge of civilian militias beating a "professional first world army" touch my romantic redneck murican heart? Sure. But at the end of the day its two peoples I don't give a fuck about killing each other. As long as Sleepy Joe doesnt send any of our people over there (other than the snake eating operator types who love that kind of shit) I don't give a fuck who's winning.

I can't say at a glance what sort of unit these guys are with or what they might have been doing to be just on the road by themselves and out of gas but I remember speculating before that there's a general lack of coordination with the Russians resulting in small groups becoming isolated from one another, and already shaky logistics wouldn't be able to provide for people who went and got lost who knows how the fuck far away from their company.

Russian logistics seem to take notes from the game Squad. Some lonely dude gets to drive a random truck from the front to the base to re-supply everybody and every now and then one of these "Logi-drivers" ends up stranded or dead or something.
Russias Military remains strange in its ways. You would expect these guys to have some kinda map (and a functional brain) at least.
Although running out of fuel already means you either A) forgot the maximum operation range of your vehicle and did not plan that BEFORE taking your truck to a battlefield, or B) you never drove a motor vehicle and forgot that they use fuel to drive, or at least to check said fuel.
Also strange AF if you ask me, since running out of fuel in some of the colder parts of eastern europe can be a death sentence even during peace time. Odd mistake for a presumably trained russian soldier.

Reuters is reporting this as well. They referenced it originally being reported by Ria Novosti -- I found the article (Russian) here. It's not quite as aggressive as the Sky and Reuters articles -- the original Russian seems to be more "We're not gonna say what we're gonna do, but it's gonna be 'tough' you guys... and we're not saying foreign asset seizure is off the table."

russia has some more modern tanks. but the bulk of their tanks and vehicles in general are repurposed, fixed up, etc. soviet era tanks.

I am basically just aping random updates from Reddit but apparently kyiv is facing 11,000 Russians coming their Way allegedly also the Ukrainian defense ministry has asked the red cross to come clean up all the ‘thousands‘ of dead and send them back to russia (lol what is lugenpresse?)
