I’ve recently been following the Anna Delvey case, and in a strange way it has a lot in common with the Bloshinskys. If a person keeps repeating a lie to themselves enough, they start believing it to be true…no matter how crazy the original idea is. E.g. I can be a Rich German heiress as long as I proclaim that I am to enough people vs. I can really change my sex from a man to a woman if I proclaim it loud enough. There’s actually quite a few parallels for this who have been following both stories.

Also, Both are fraudulent and both are ridiculous. The interesting thing to me is how the media reacted when the fraud was discovered. Netflix already has a documentary about the Anna Delvey fraud, “Inventing Anna”, while with the fraud that the Bloshinskys / transmob are running just get noticed here and there (kiwifarms, Exulansic, Nightmare Neal, etc. and a few other platforms, but nowhere near the same mainstream notoriety, when the fraud that the Bloshinskys are pulling, I would argue, is more damaging than anything Anna Delvey (Sorokin) could ever dream up.

They stop only when they get exhausted, or someone beats the shit out of them(which also teaches npd sufferers self control). Since the family has doormat father there is no one to protect children from narc mother. Sander is obviously severely abused. His face has frozen expression of anxiety and stress, because, again narcs are random and you can never guess when the next rage fit is coming. Children of narc mothers try to be as pleasing and convenient to them as possible(which never actually works, because narcs barely have any genuine human empathy to others). We already can tell Jeanette is mega narc, and Sander's severely damaged psyche, receding hairline, and constant oandering is just yet another confirmation of that.

I suppose Sander is judged here for his lack of self-awareness about his family situation, and his choice to instead pursue cringe cope while obviously imploding under the surface. I recognise that not everyone can do this, because its a very long and difficult process to recognise if your family dynamics are toxic- and the narc will do everything to keep you to party line and obedience.

But for those of us who yeeted tf out of the situation once they were old enough (I moved as soon as I could in uni and never moved back, improved after a few years limited contact), it's really frustrating to watch. Like you're an adult, just leave!! If no one needs pressing medical care/your help, have a break from the family dynamics at least for a while. You'll be poor (bare bones housed and drinking cheap wine and aldi food) and uncomfortable for a bit just getting started and being young, and likely all throughout your time as a student, but you suck it up and keep going because in life you have to work for things. It teaches you to appreciate the things you eventually have, because you worked for it and you know what it's like to go without luxuries or even just comforts. The lessons stick with you forever. The 'poor student' is a trope for a reason.

Jeanette is not your god, or guardian - stand on your own two feet, for God's sake. It's pathetic.

It's absolutely normal for narc mothers to threaten their children with cold weapons, attempting murder(just pretending, they don't actually mean it, but children don't know that), speaking very graphic derogatory sexual language(such as "you will be raped in the ass in jail), etc.
Just imagine Jeanette with her eyes bulging out, yelling so loud her voice cracks, with cleaver in her hands, in fron of her child who has no idea what to do, all while the father is distanced from all of this.

I have never watched a full episode of this show. I only know what is said based on recaps from here, reddit, and trending video clips.

Rate me late, but I don't remember this scene, where Jazz is asking his dad what his mom's vagina looks like and how much of his mom's vagina his dad has seen. And Jeannette just laughs, while the dad is uncomfortable. Jazz then says "Be honest!" like wtf. I know kiwis have mentioned before that the family brings up the topic of genitals at inappropriate times but I somehow managed to go years without actually hearing it. It's so wrong, how has this family avoided mainstream criticism? I know the answer, but still.

This family is so messed up, imagine if an actual girl asked their father about what he thinks of wife's vagina, and then stating she wants to know if her vagina is ugly and if guys will be staring at it whenever she decides to have sex, etc. Pretty sure the average person would call CPS on this family if it was a real girl asking these questions.

I am 100% sure, as in, PL-positive, that there are people in this thread who know what a life-destroying, belittling, threatening, narc-rage parent looks and sounds like and the damage they can do.
