This "fog of war 2.0" is 100x worse than what it must have been back in the day, jesus fucking christ.

It's hard to believe anything now.

This was discussed previously. The island had more than just soldiers in there. There were also civilians working to maintain the infrastructure.

It's still unclear who died and how. Just remember that both sides are spewing propaganda left and right. Just because Russian state media "debunks" something, doesn't mean you should take it at face value.

Ukraine is spreading heroic stories of resistance to keep up morale in their own ranks. If my country were invaded, I would expect the same thing.

I think Western governments have evolved in 20 years to where they don't even care about public support on anything anymore. They'll act first and then create the 200 man paid for polls later. Hell they won't even hear a dissenting opinion without harshly crushing it let alone consider it.
Yes Citizens United is what you're thinking of. The elites are able to play both sides of the field without being obvious hypocrites. They no longer have to pick a side. Nobody knows that Republican-voting billionaires secretly back loser Democrat candidates who are either incompetent or basically Republicans (Joe Biden is both of these things). You can no longer follow the money.

At the same time, Republican gerrymandering has created large swaths of the country where one party runs virtually uncontested. This leads to candidates who have no interest in winning moderates on either side- the same process that led to Madison Cawthorn and Marjorie Taylor Greene also led to AOC and Ilhan Omar.

Finally, in presidential and senate elections that *are* contested, weird little identity politics groups now seem to play an outsize role. Parties have to appeal to "Suburban white women in Wisconsin making less than $60,000 a year" and "Hispanic men in Miami with college degrees". For the Democrats, this led to John Kerry in 2004, Hillary in 2016, and Biden in 2020. I was a bit of a wildcard because I had the black vote on lock and appealed to many whites as well.

Oh you sweet naive child the lifelong billionaire new york democrat who married his daughter off to a kike is ‘one of the good ones’. I can’t believe such sappy gullibility exists.
As I said, if he's the best that the Republican Party can do, then the GOP has no future. The only reason America isn't a one party state yet is because the corposhit cockholsters who run this shit country need a Goldstein to point fingers at whenever they don't get their way.

Donald Trump is to US politics what Mr. Jones is to Animal Farm.

The addition of LGBTQI+ to the mix this time is soooo obvious. They don't do subtle

Its on Jake Sullivan's claimed Russian "Hit List".
Definitely a valuable strategic target
Ukraine, more like YOU-GAYne, amirite? Because Slavs totally love homosexuality.

I would say its the other way around. Polska is a long-term threat to Ukraine. The view that it is actually
their property is more widespread that most people would think.
Correct. Silesia used to be Polish land. It was taken from them during the Partition of Poland, given to Prussia, then taken by Russia. If it ever had the option to regain its historic lands it would. Same with Romania and the huge swaths of lands Hungary took from them.
The guy who fucked a Chinese spy has never recommended Chinks be mass deported or Syrian rapefugees for having pro ISIS/jihadist views. The Afghan 'refugees' were never deported despite their pro Taliban leanings.

Oh that's right. *They aren't white.*
It's not hard to guess. Putin's intention is to use scare tactics, hoping the opposition will surrender asap when they see the tanks, as it has always worked in his own country. He also believes that he has Nato tied up since they are on his gas. It's essentially the bullies "I'll beat you up if you tell your parents". Their logic is always driven by ego.

Unfortunately, he didn't expect an entire country to fight it out, which means it's not fast and easy. And he also didn't realize that globally, everyone hates that, and that Nato is willing to sanction almost everything else, including SWIFT(hopefully).

Then what do you expect him to do, retreat due to rising costs? Nah, ego, war must go on. Retreat and ask for all the sanctions to be reverted? Nah, ego, war must go on.

Now the best thing he can get is totally destroying Ukraine, and claim victory even at the cost of everything else. Anything short of that is a total humiliation for him.
Uh, they are. Germany is 50% or more reliant on Russian gas. Trump told them as much and they mocked him. If Europe was more energy independent these sanctions would have meaning. They don't as Russia has all the resource and energy power the EU needs. Once EU citizens, not Russians, begin paying more for gas, electricity, and everything as the cost of living goes up, their dominion is going to crack like an egg.

The SWIFT decision, again, means nothing. Russian oligarchs aren't even Russian; they are all Jewish. So they'll all be cozying up in Tel Aviv with their funds when things blow up or over. Russia has prepared for this and China has already indicated it is willing to work with them every step of the way.

NATO has been told for decades to leave Ukraine as a neutral state, but under US leadership it has kept encroaching closer and closer to drag Russia into a war. This is not me sucking Russia's cock, this is history and fact.
You can piss off of a Ukrainian.

And then he'll wail for you to give him his grain back. Wait until Russia (and China) yank the fertilizer exports.

Then you're back to 1930s Holodomor.

"NATO protect the sky" Yes all these Boomers wanting a No Fly Zone are really asking for a full scale war. They are just that fucking ignorant.

The trains are being packed so tight they have to leave their stuff behind.
Don't you love clogging up train tracks with your clothes?

As I said ages ago in this thread there is now what I call a "cacophony of disinformation" in this war. In the past decades ago news channels and government sources were the arbiters of information about what happened in a war. Now in an age where the internet is increasingly present it is playing as a role as well. Third-parties on the individual level can say something and that can be amplified 100 times over be it truth or a lie. This makes fake reports and news rampant. I think this is an additional thing that will happen now in wars or conflicts whenever both sides are at a technological level where a significant portion of their populations have access to the internet.

How bad would it be for Putin to lose this war? Could he die at the hands of his own people like many Russian rulers before him?
Yes because losing the war against tiny ass Ukraine at this point would mean a massive strategic catastrophe beyond anything we can imagine. But Vlad would probably keep rigging elections until he dies.

I’m bored, someone come up with the gayest Ukrainian nickname ever. Soldier nicknamed the “Ukranian Seal” for getting 300 confirmed kills trained in guerilla warfare and the top sniper in the entire Ukraine armed forces.

What's even funnier is that it's being worn by a black guy.

I've also seen the SS Death's Head patch on Fleabay being suggested alongside Ukraine flag patches as well. Obviously it wasn't called that in the description but it did look familiar.
