Was it always like this? Did media always just make/peddle these ridiculous hero-tales to the masses and bank on some sticking?
It's juvenile.
It seems to of happened occasionally before but due to internet being the internet the idea of a "Ghost of Kyiv" and "Ukrainian Reaper" were spread to a lot of places in a very rapid manner.

This "fog of war 2.0" is 100x worse than what it must have been back in the day, jesus fucking christ.

It's hard to believe anything now.
Now you just have both sides and a ton of random people shouting over each other.
IMO far preferable to only being able to hear what your government thinks you should think happened. Especially since the net also gets you full access to the history of both countries, so i know why and roughly how much a Ukranian hates a Russian.
Dont tell me they are going to Groznify Kiev with NATO dicks in-between the ranks of UKR. Hence the warning.

Russia is mostly keeping its mouth shut which tells a story all on its own

(it's not a rosy one for putinbros)

They are doing alright.

Would of been smarter to bomb the place for 4 weeks straight before moving in but the outcome in certain at this point. There will be 50,000 ukranians encircled in the next 48 hours

The fact Adam Kinzinger bought the Sam Hyde meme and earned tens of thousands of likes shows you how celebrity-addicted BlueAnon is.

Doesn't matter if the pics of Zelensky strutting around in fatigues were from 2019, or kids hugging each other in Donbass from 2016, they each get thousands and thousands of likes.

Remember the migrant photos of the Mexican mom with her 7 year old in a diaper? The drowned kid in the Rio Grande and how we should open up our borders to millions of people?
Emotional images and stories have always short-circuited the three brain cells most people reserve for critical thinking.

If you're in the United States I'm pretty sure engaging in cyber attacks of this nature is still illegal even if the target is abroad.

Incidentally, Gazprom does appear to be under a denial-of-service attack of some kind at the time of writing this.

Uh, I know Ukraine is under a lot of pressure right now but this seems super fucking gay.

Russians keep failing deeper into Ukraine

They have 4 days before they make me a liar about them winning in a week

What will I do if they fail me :story:

It's all house money to me, Russia has looked like it might not even last a week against NATO. Turns out Xinnie the Greatest Helmsman you're our only hope...

Oh good I still have a chance

That's funny, the disinformation seems to be flowing mostly from one direction, the same direction most disinformation seems to flow: The Side Western Elites Favour.
It has been biased so far in Ukraine's favor that I will agree. Russian forces going into Ukraine seem focused on operations security so they aren't posting much. I have observed active suppression of any pro-Russian videos on Reddit so that may also explain why there is not much stuff as well (people appear to be actively brigading against anything that pops up at least in Western dominated websites). I imagine there is some stuff on VK and Telegram though. Overall the narrative of the Ukrainian propaganda has been quite effective on some people as made by evident by what goes on in this place.

like which Russian rulers? (btw the czar will iced by jewish bolsheviks fyi).
I read a book about the Romanov dynasty years ago and what I got out of the book was a lot of them were killed. Tsar Nicholas II of course. His father or grandfather I think was assassinated. A few before that were killed by their own family members. Then the paranoia with Stalin killing everyone I assume so he wouldn't be killed first. Just seems like a tough place to "rule" going by the history. I know, they pretty much ran and financed the revolution. The "concentration camps" were a hell of lot better place to be I'm sure then the gulags were. How many tens of millions of people dead either directly or indirectly...but we can't talk about that.

A friend of mine who is a Latin Mass sperg was going to a Ukrainian Catholic church in LibCity USA in 2013-4 and ended up noping out quietly when they started taking up a second collection to fund the Ukrainian fighters. Like buying weapons etc.

That moment made a big impression on me. The folks at the church seemed real nice and normal but wtaf. Imagine if the Russian Orthodox parish was taking up Pennies for Putin (they don't- I have multiple sources confirming as much.)
