This is probably the best thread to ask, sorry if it's not Anyone got any good vids/articles/podcasts/whatever to redpill me on the holocaust?
I'm not invested in it either way, I'm just curious to see the evidence for and against it.
I'm in the camp of "it happened but was massively overblown"
Common myths that were mostly disproven in the 10 years after:
~human soap
~skinlamps
Things that were never taken seriously (but claimed to be real by the witnesses themselves):
~holocoasters
~moving knifes
~electrocuting into ashes
~gun that bent through the wall to shoot yourself
~being picked apart by a bear and an eagle in a cage
-using babies as footballs (recycled from ww1 propaganda)
Things that are curiously absent from most official accounts:
~confessions gained under torture
~the creation of the concept of genocide to support nuremberg trials
~US internment of japanese people in US
~dresden firebombing, rape of berlin, willingness of japan to surrender before the nukes were dropped
~the existence and use of gas-vans prior to WW II in poland
~the number of 6 million (and 11 million) being admitted inventions, rather than even estimations.
Things that (neo)nazi's find hard to admit:
~abundant proof of machinegunning civilian jews on the eastern front
~indirect wording in documents such as "special action" clearly referring to such machinegunning
Things that jews/zionists find hard to admit:
~lack of proof that hitler knew of this, as well as some evidence that he might not have
~That the evidence for gas chambers that held more than 1 person is remarkably thin
~all of the camps were initially regarded as death camps, but forensic evidence has proven all of those in west germany and occupied western territory to only have been concentration camps. Those in eastern germany have never had such forensic evidence and when people have tried to do it, they've been persecuted for it.
~anne frank, despite being not of an age very useful for a work camp, died in a camp hospital. There were also dentists, theater shows, swimming pools, football teams.
~All the stories of survivors that miraculously survived gas chambers or that by miracle water came out of the shower instead of gas cast a weird glow over the whole thing.
~auschwitz camp shows things as true, despite knowing that they are not true, as evidenced by the cole documentary.
~anything that is illegal to investigate or question is highly suspicious.
~For about 75 years since, holocaust survivors have received a kind of holocaust welfare. In recent years swiss banks, dutch railways and many other organisations were blackmailed over aspersions over the holocaust. There is a conference called "jewish mineral claims against germany". The banning of circumcision in both denmark and germany were each independantly stopped by comparing it to the holocaust, showing that even in recent times, the event and how it's perceived still holds great political capital.
~Hollywood has made more propaganda movies about the holocaust per year since 1945 than nazi germany made propaganda movies about jews in the short rule they've had.
~Things that are contested and either could be true:
~Whether there was an official campaign of genociding jews at the highest level of leadership, where it depends mostly on recordings offered to the public that are incomplete and depend heavily on interpretation of the word "ausrotten".
~Whether hitler died in 1945
