Well there were still partisans running around in Ukraine taking potshots at commissars in 1950 the Russians didn't finish them all off until 1953... but although there was anti-Soviet organizing before 1941 the violent part of the "resistance" didn't really pop off until the Nazis rolled in, dunno where this 72 years thing is coming from

Don't understand why people are freaking out about nukes in Belarus. It's a tiny country that's a close ally of Russia right on Russia's doorstep. The Western equivalent would be France deploying nukes in Belgium or the US deploying nukes in Canada. Usually when Russia freaks out about nukes being deployed it's because a hostile power is deploying them close to Russia (Ukraine or Turkey). When this was done to the US (Cuban Missile Crisis) we shit our pants as well. It involves completely different principles so there's no hypocrisy involved.

That said I absolutely think we should deploy nukes in Japan, because it's retarded to let a country with incredibly dense urban centers sit pretty next to other hostile nuclear powers with zero weapons of their own for deterrence purposes.

The Cuban missile stuff was a product of it's time. There was no accurate early warning system and meant they could get off scot free with a first strike. Just wipe shit out and it would be over before it started.

Today? Different. Move those TELs closer. It will make them easier to take out if the balloon goes up.

What Russia is really shitting bricks about is the US deploying THAAD to eastern europe to counter their missiles. THAAD is the hot shit brand new anti-ballistic missile defense. Trump cut those shipments off only after elements of the Ukrainian government colluded with their masters in the State Department and Clintonworld to get him impeached the first time, and then Zelensky wouldn't fire those people.
