The idea that Putin would use nukes because in 3 days he hasn't taken the country while committing a third of the troops on the borders and purposefully avoiding using anything heavy is so overwhelmingly retarded that if my brain weren't already smooth it'd unwrinkle on the spot.
"Wow! He's literally only using 33% of his power!"

I mean if the bridge is already out might as well call in an air strike, and then get to work after any threats are neutralized.
An airstrike with planes isn't going to delouse the other side. Gunships like Hinds or Havocs may have the set up to try to neutralize the area but their slower speeds would make them Igla/Stinger bait. Welcome to peer to peer engagement. The Ukrainians aren't the Taliban.

That's one possibility..... But wouldn't a much simpler answer be that the Russian have a 0 tolerance policy for collateral right now? For optics and because they don't want to rebuild a shitload of damage if they win?
This is the reason. Again, the Russians spent serious press releases deboonking that one random Kiev panel building that got hit by a missile and have avoided anything that might cause too much damage to unintended targets. They've yet to wage even a standard war in terms of acceptable collateral let alone the things they've done in Chechnya or Syria.

How much longer will there even be a Ukraine? As an independent country their days are numbered (not that they were ever independent since until last week they were a protectorate of the DNC and friends).
IDK, but if Taiwan/China goes full honk honk, we're going to be in WW3. Maybe Israel and Iran can have some fun to to make it the greatest fireworks show on Earth.

I would say yes. They could do what the Russians did in WW2 and put anti tankmines on the rails to cause a derailment. Legal target in international law too.
Ya, that's why I was asking. Though I dunno about a derailment considering the driver at the very least be thought as a potential civ. Thinking more along the lines of blowing a crater in a less populated area, would it take long to build an addition to the track?

Fair point.

The driver being a civilian does not make it an unlawful target. Civilian infrastructure like power plants, factories roads and rail lines are legal targets if they contribute to the war effort. It's how we rationalized blowing up power stations in Serbia and Iraq.

Well, then it wasn't an actual conventional war, then - but I thought NATO had to fight for like three weeks to capture the country. Ukraine, although a post-communist shithole, is still the third most capable military power after France and Russia in Europe. It's not quite the same.

But this is the beginning of the war or first half of it. The invasion will continue for another week + 1 or 2 days or something and then Russia will win.

Or just bomb them en mass. Three weeks to train conscripts poorly is not going to help Ukraine's situation.
You can't bomb a country into submission. It's been tried countless times and every time it has failed. If anything reducing cities to rubble makes taking them even harder because it provides more terrain for the enemy to entrench in. Said enemy is also feeling pretty spiteful too.

6 days ago Russian Shills were saying there would be no invasion, 4 days ago Russian shills were saying Ukraine would fall apart immediately and now you are describing what is effectively total war. If that is the case, Russia is gonna need alot more men. Iraq is a fraction of the size of Ukraine and the US still took 3 weeks to take it with 300,000 troops and limited Iraqi resistance.

Mostly likely.

Counter point they're conscripts and conscripts can still go full retard even under strict orders. It's the quality of the person when comes to conscripts rather than how they're trained.

We already got some of them going "shopping" after all.
