Most of those talking shit on socials don't seem to realize that a war with Russia will ignite all of Eurasia in cojnflict. China, Iran and NK aren't sitting this one out. If Russia falls, they fall eventually. These fools are getting prepped by intel agencies and corporate news for the next war. I see it coming, all this outrage being ginned up for a country most burgers can't even find on a map.

Here's some useful talking points, not that they'll work, but whatever.

You ready to pay $10 a gallon?
15 Euros per litre?
Ready to go months without natural gas? In the middle of winter?
Ready for wartime mobilization and conscription?
Wartime rationing of food?
5-10 years without a new phone or computer?
5-10 years without a new car?
Blackouts and brownouts?
Greatly reduced quality of life, even with it already in decline?
Ready to risk a nuclear exchange?

None of the plebs realize that this is the cost of fumbling the post cold war peace. Last post with the virtue signaling, promise.
I might just have not paid attention enough to the news growing up, but I don't think there's been a time in my life where MAD has been this close to getting triggered. With all these countries promising aid, a strike on a NATO aligned armory promised to Ukraine is already a non-zero chance, for example, a Lusitania type situation where a boat full of missiles gets attacked. With that NATO gets activated (an attack on one is an attack on all) and it's either WWIII, or MAD convinces Russia to give up before the war actually kicks off.

Ex-IDF spokesman: Netanyahu should negotiate between Russia, Ukraine

Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) Spokesperson Ronen Manelis tweets that he believes opposition leader Benjamin Netanyahu should work as an envoy to negotiate between Russia and Ukraine after the former’s invasion of its democratic neighbor.

“Netanyahu must be appointed as a special envoy to Russia and Ukraine,” Manelis tweets. “I got to see up close how Russian President Putin listens to the [Israeli] opposition leader, if Israel has a chance to influence this event through him.”

“It will also be a certificate of honor for the Israeli government. After he succeeds (or God forbid he fails) we will return to today’s matters,” Manelis tweets.

Without russiaball, we wouldn't have reached peak polandball.

Ukrainian border checkpoints at the Russian border have been abandoned. This one was not even taken over by the Russians.

Right now, you can freely drive from Russia to Ukraine and no one will stop you.

I get why the Russians aren't using their more terrifying munitions and heavy airstrikes if the goal is to minimise civvies casualties but I really don't get why they are not using their EW capability or the drones, since they're both areas they been investing in heavily. Do they think this will be such a cakewalk that they don't want to reveal the capability to the Americans?

Quick summary. This is the fourth day of the Russian operation.

Western media reports significantly underestimate Russian penetration and the speed of its advance, preferring to focus on the "Ukrainian resistance" which is actually proving unable to halt the strategic success of the Russian advance.

The main facts of the day:
  • Russian troops are firmly established in the northern suburbs of Kiev
  • The southern Ukrainian front is collapsing, the Russian army should soon control the entire Ukrainian sea front.
  • The Russian army broke through to the east from Sumy towards Kiev to link up with the Russian offensive axis coming from the north and already present on the outskirts of Kiev.
  • It appears that the Ukrainian units made the mistake of trying to hold the major cities (Chernihiv / Sumy / Kharkov / Kherson), leaving the Russian armoured units to continue their advance towards their first strategic objectives: Kiev - Odessa - Mariupol.
According to the information available, Russia has only committed half of its available troops to the offensive at this stage.

(reminder of the main offensive axes)

Northern axis (Kiev - Cherkihiv)
Street fighting in Kiev is concentrated in the northern suburbs of the capital, as here in Bucha.

In the south of the capital, Russian actions are still targeting Vasylkiv airport.

Much further south of the capital, in Vinitsa, in central Ukraine, forward Russian units, potentially paratroopers, are already conducting offensive operations.

Eastern axis (Sumy - Kharkov)
Significantly on the fourth day, the offensive axis from Sumy / Kharkov in the east made a lightning breakthrough towards the Dnieper and Kiev, threatening to encircle all Zelensky's units to the north in a gigantic pincer.

The 47th Guards Tank Regiment of the 1st Guards Tank Army was in charge of this manoeuvre.

Kharkov seems to be a secondary scene where the Russian army is trying to fix as many Ukrainian units as possible in order to destroy them gradually.

However, it seems that the Russian army is now entering massively in the city, which has a population of 1.5 million.

Southern axis (Kherson / Odessa - Mariupol)
The offensive is divided into two movements:
  • The first one, towards Odessa, in the west, to lock the whole Ukrainian sea front and cut Kiev off from any US support by sea
  • The second, towards Mariupol and the Donbass, to join the republics of Loukansk and Donetsk and lock the Sea of Azov
On the fourth day, the southern Ukrainian front has almost collapsed.

The Russian army has already reached the Dnieper, cutting off Kiev's river traffic with the Black Sea.

It is halfway to Odessa and rapidly approaching Mariupol.

Movement towards Odessa
The Russian army is completing the encirclement of Kherson, while continuing to advance towards Odessa. It is currently trying to break through at Mykolaiev.

Movement towards Mariupol / Donbass
Russian troops have reached Chernihivka.

The port of Berdiansk has already been overtaken by the Russian armoured vanguard, which is moving towards Mariupol.

At the current rate, the Russian army will have conquered the entire southern coast of Ukraine in just over a week, leaving Kiev temporarily with only a land corridor with Poland for any material support.

It's Russias attempt at Polandball which was an excellent 4chan meme that was inevitably ruined by Reddit
4chan? Go kill yourself, it came from Krautchan/int/, I was there when it was borned and me asking a stupid question lead to /int/erkosmos being made a meme.

Plebbit and Twitter are almost winning the propaganda war for Russia. Seconded only by Ukraine on Twitter. I dislike both sides on this war but Reddit and Twitter are making Russia look like the fucking good guys.
Hurray! We're going to make them purposely kill our civilians and post it on social media... Something about that doesn't sound quite right.

I'm not so sure about that. The couple hundred Americans peppered into NATO countries are there as Gulf of Tonkins to justify war, not really for deterrent. It's one thing if Russians bomb a Polish base, it's another thing if Russians bomb a Polish base that killed American soldiers. Americans will be less likely to care if it doesn't involve American troops.

..... That's literally what I fucking said.

Did you not read it at all ?

And yes, the higher likelihood of the US fully committing is a deterrent more so than if there was a lower likelihood.

You think Putin gives fuck about rules ? I mean he is KGB for fuck sake.
dumbass. You think using nukes is just Putin flipping light switch?
The moment he wants to use nukes i can assure you more troops and even oligarchs will rebel/bailout.

Him using nukes is a death sentence to himself. Zelinksy would be martyr, and the rest of the world will be killing him, even China.

Because why side with Russia outside of muh culture war/down with globohomo/ a whole bunch of other shit that really isn’t a valid excuse to invade a sovereign nation.
That still doesn't explain the delusions about Ukraine totally winning this, when the Ivans are rolling into Kiev right now...
