We're seeing a new stage of propaganda. We can look back on the propaganda of 50-100 years ago and chuckle about how hamfisted it is, and pat ourselves on the backs and say "I'd never fall for that lol". But this new breed is blatant lies mixed with jokes and truth and govt officials and news organizations fall for it. It comes at you so fast and in such quantity it's impossible to parse.

Like I don't believe the casualty numbers from either side, and I think even when it's said done we'll never know the truth.

People just aren’t used to being as skeptical as they need to be. You pretty much have to straight up disbelieve everything, because everything online is just insane gossip at this point.

The worst part is that people seem to be extra gullible when it comes to anything including photos or videos, even with absolutely no proof that those photos or videos are from the correct time, place, and subject that somebody says they are.

TLDR: Deja Vu: Hostility towards Putin is so similar to how people treated Trump, and people getting angry about Russia's invasion on Ukraine reminds me how people acted like scared beasts, like me, during the Coronavirus pandemic.
