Russian State Duma speaker Vyacheslav Volodin said Saturday that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky had left Kiev for Lvov; he added that Zelensky had already departed the Ukrainian capital as of yesterday.

"Zelensky hastily left Kiev. He was not in the capital of Ukraine yesterday. Together with his entourage, he fled to the city of Lvov, where he and his assistants were equipped with a place to live," Volodin wrote in his Telegram channel.

Volodin also noted that all the videos that Zelensky publishes on social networks were recorded in advance. According to him, information about Zelensky's departure to Lvov came from deputies of the Rada, Ukraine's legislature.

So far the Russians have refrained from pumping out false propaganda. We definitely haven't seem Zelenskyy give live interviews to western media in Kiev. If this is true the end game isn't far and this whole thing should be wrapped up pretty soon.

Burnt out Ukrainian vehicles.

I think too many people are regurgitating the talking point that “Putin thought this was going to end up easier and faster than it’s playing out right now, Russia is underperforming expectations”

Why would you fucking know what the expectations were to begin with?

Also, to add onto this, I'm going to have to address the talking points that

"Putin is insane because he's telling the Ukranians to take out Zelensky for him"
"Putin is crazy to be telling the Ukrainians to surrender now, it shows that his armed forces are massively underperforming"
"Putin is nuts to be mentioning nukes"

How do we know that Putin isn't applying some form of the madman strategy? How do we know that Putin isn't just wanting to raise the panic levels of his opponents? How do we know what he really intends to do with these statements? It's possible he's just amusing himself by putting forward certain public statements (e.g. telling Ukranians to take out Zelensky) as slight of hand but is nevertheless intent on letting his armed forces take over the Ukraine.

Also, for all we know Putin is completely satisfied with the progress of the invasion.

I feel like they've refrained from doing so the western media (see - what most of us get to see on the daily). internally, tho, I imagine they're in full overdrive, same as usual.
