Because the Auntie fracking campaign is mainly funded by OPEC and other oil-producing countries and Russia to an extent
Just like the anti-nuclear movement was also funded by the communist ussr
People forget that the drop in oil prices in the mid-to-late 2010s were largely a response to US shale oil blowing up and Arabs selling oil at-cost to try and price American frackers out of the market.

So in a weird way, the US shale oil industry is indirectly responsible for the current happenings in Ukraine.

I knew that fracking shit was bad business.

What Ukrainians? A couple thousand in Kiev? Ukraine is/was fairly split between the West and Russia, then the West launched the Euromaidan coup because the "Orange Revolution" didn't stick.
Indeed, just look at all the Ukrainians dancing in the streets and welcoming the Russians as liberators from Western oppression.

What's with all the yanky support for Putin in here? He openly detests you lot, sees you as lower than rats and you're all simping for him like seasoned lolcows. Some of the weirdest most hilarious shit I've ever seen on the internet:story:
I just support the side that makes people mad or the one that makes bugmen want to kill themselves, nothing deeper than that really friend

Can I just say there's something wrong with people today in regards to patience. You saw it with the Canadian convoys and you're seeing it now with the war in Ukraine. People all over the internet, here included, after 2 days will start declaring everything to be "over".
And why? Because it isn't done by the time you've stopped paying attention?

Historically these things take months to years. It's not "over" just because it didn't end in time for your nap.
Talk about patient. I hear Putin is nearly ready to commit Sepuku
If he doesn't have full and total control of the Ukies by the end of day 5.
The abject failure of not taking the largest country in Europe in under 100 hours

No one is saying you need to 100% agree with Ukraine you disingenuous Kannafag. But you acting like people disagreeing with you for supporting Russia is some kind of grand conspiratorial injustice is gay as hell.
Just like how people viewed you as some kind of grand conspirational injustice, like your personally attacking them, when you went against Coronavirus restriction, Black Lives Matter riots, and now Ukrainian invasion?

Your right that people disagreeing with me is not some grand conspiratorial Injustice and it is as gay to think so, brings alot of unnecessary headaches. It just seems so...familiar. Again like Deja Vu these past two years happening again.
Embrace the hate of your enemies and reject your lolicon ways.
Do not hate thy enemies, love your enemies. For they know not what they do. But Head pats though, head pats are forever.

Isn't like over half of the Russian equipment from the Soviet era anyways. Like beside new airplanes being designed and produced, they didn't bother that much with rifles and AFV's in the last couple of years.
Also the reason why people thought Ukraine is going to fall fast to Russia is well, its Ukraine vs Russia. Like you have the largest army ever you can just steamroll that shit in a week max vs a country that can do jack shit against anyone except Somalia or the Vatican Army
In theory Russian could have had this mopped up yesterday if they where bringing their full might and zero fucks to give attitude.

Instead they've been holding themselves back and steadily making gains while also having their classic logistic issues. We even had Russian tanks drivers still ending up in retarded positions and situations.

Question for the based milispergs here.

Have the Russians been using AK12's or is it still 74's? Are they using the Ratnik system? Do they all have body armour?

I remember clips of Russian troops in Syria a few years back and they seemed equivalent in professionalism and equipment to US/UK troops at a glance. From what I've seen here it's not the same. Am I right in assuming because Syria wasn't a full scale conflict they could afford to use their best troops and equipment and now that's not the case because they need troops en-masse?
If you look at the photos and videos, there's a mix of Russian equipment in use. This isn't surprising because Russian equipment procurement is full of half assed attempts and embezzlement.

This is also why they have to wear armbands, because some of them are wearing the EMR pattern of gear, some of them are wearing the newer patterns that look more like multicam, and then you also have the variations of EMR that might confuse. It's just a clusterfuck. Most of them are probably using 74's because they are numerous and easier on the procurement side of things.

The reason why they seemed more professional in Syria is due to the fact that the Russians trained a few BTG's specifically for Syria and the mission there.
Here, we see degraded BTG's who have probably all suffered from the wonderful mismanagement of equipment and funds that the Russian military is known for, but it seems like the Tigr vehicle procurement went well. Seeing lots of those, so good for them.

That's war, it's polerizing by nature.

Serious question: is there even a war going on?
Also, I think this is relevant. At least the ridiculous gaslighting and absurd propaganda being shared online makes me think so:
