I swear, you guys really need to settle down and enjoy the spectacle a bit more. here's some only tangentially related anime waifu covers of oldies, but goodies to help you with that while you scroll through this thread. it does wonders to remind me how 99% of all 'facts' coming out are bullshit anyway and it's best to just chillax and do what you can IRL if you really are over there:

Can I just say there's something wrong with people today in regards to patience. You saw it with the Canadian convoys and you're seeing it now with the war in Ukraine. People all over the internet, here included, after 2 days will start declaring everything to be "over".
And why? Because it isn't done by the time you've stopped paying attention?

Historically these things take months to years. It's not "over" just because it didn't end in time for your nap.
Very much this. From a lolcow or news junkie perspective, why do you want Russia to win immediately? This is the most real excitement we’ve gotten in years.

Question for the based milispergs here.

Have the Russians been using AK12's or is it still 74's? Are they using the Ratnik system? Do they all have body armour?

I remember clips of Russian troops in Syria a few years back and they seemed equivalent in professionalism and equipment to US/UK troops at a glance. From what I've seen here it's not the same. Am I right in assuming because Syria wasn't a full scale conflict they could afford to use their best troops and equipment and now that's not the case because they need troops en-masse?
They achieved air dominance on day 1 so there was no need for modern equipment and professional soldiers. They're mostly using irregulars, hence the white Z's painted on all the vehicles, make maneuvers as idiot proof as possible, cut down on friendly fire. They've managed to surround their targets and they'll be telling the Ukrainians nows the time to have a chat or else they'll deploy the actual army to end this. If both sides want to avoid street to street fighting in the cities then the chances of a negotiated settlement are decent. It will of course depend on what the strategic objective of the invasion is. If it's simply to demilitarize the Ukraine then there's a deal to be made, if it's to install a puppet regime less so. If Putin wants to annex the entire country then we can forget about it. I would ignore all the media chatter, it's 99.9% bullshit. It could well be that Putin's mind is made up and he's going to allow this to play out.

Then there's the United States who obviously want mass civilian casualties for the optics and are sperging hard at any suggestion of a peace deal. The Ukraine has been a state department client state since Euromaidan. Having a European vassal has been enormously advantageous and not just for the usual money laundering and human trafficking.

Ukraine has no control over the military bio-laboratories on its own territory. According to the 2005 Agreement between the US DoD and the Ministry of Health of Ukraine the Ukrainian government is prohibited from public disclosure of sensitive information about the US program and Ukraine is obliged to transfer to the US Department of Defense (DoD) dangerous pathogens for biological research. The Pentagon has been granted access to certain state secrets of Ukraine in connection with the projects under their agreement.

The Pentagon has constructed an entire vertically integrated bioweapons research program in Ukraine, with no Congressional oversight and no limits on development.

I get that burgers need to think of themselves as the good guys, despite decades of invading harmless shithole countries and the CIA overthrowing non friendly governments through their NGO networks, but they're almost wholly responsible for the current situation. I'm highly skeptical that their Jewish plant and his oligarch owners will break with the US but maybe he's had a come to Jesus moment, stranger things have happened.

I did have to lol at western media calling Putin crazy for making appeals to the Ukrainian army. They don't take their orders from Zelensky, there's a reason he's spending all of his time on Twitter and giving gay press conferences, that's his actual job. No he wants them to rebel against their real bosses who are based in Washington DC.

Mr. Zelensky, the reddit volunteeers...
Redditors? Who in their right mind...forget it. They'd be better off receiving a box of used condoms and titty skittles.
Learn to read before you respond like a gay 11 year old on TikTok. The post I was quoting basically asked something like "Why would anyone support Russia?" and I gave a geo-political response. I guess your post is another example of the types of people that are fanatically pro-Ukraine. Angry, mad, one dimensional.

Or am I to expect some 150 IQ response from you why EE nations lining their borders with missiles and finger waving at Russia is a good idea instead of just mutual cooperation?
Honestly, it's so easy for people to just jump on the #RandomUkraineHashtag bandwagon and just rake in the faux applause from random internet strangers, than to try to understand the situation in the first place. Between being invaded repeatedly over the centuries and a number of factors, like social, demographic, economic, etc., that are not in favor of Russia at this point in history, it's understandable why they'd see their current course of action as a viable option. Not that I agree with the decision, in fact I think it's going to make things worse for both countries in the long run, if both countries continue to exist.

Boomer politicians in the US wanted to play Cold War one last time before they croaked, and Vlad wanted to play Napoleon. Either way, they both fucked Ukraine in a way.

/pol/ tards in here bitching about “muh globohomo” somehow thinking that outweighs the fact ukrainians made it pretty clear during euromaiden they wanted a european future and not a russian future.
Vitkor rigging elections, using live ammunition on protestors, and then emptying Ukraine's treasury before fleeing to Russia was kinda based. His lavish mansion he left behind looks awesome too.

Kiev looks like a really beautiful city from pictures and videos. It would be sad to lose it.
Eh, not really. I mean, you don't need to kill dozer an entire city through cruise and ballistic rain, no.
Just Thanos-snap the Duma building and Zelensky's residence, get this fucker in the open, capture, bring in Russia.
that's easier than you think it is but would cost a handful of lives. though, who gives a shit about politicians anyway.

Ukraine and Russia both. The US will come out of it smelling like roses. Unless the nukes actually fly, it is a win for the American establishment.

This post is 100% correct.

I'm surprised at the lack of chatter here of all places at the correlation between bio labs and the first places that got attacked by Russia tbh.

I really didn't think we'd get this dramatic this quickly but it's all a performance when anyone has the ability to share the ongoing situation with the world.

Imagine WWII with social media.

I thought WW3 would be full of kids rappelling out of helicopters playing dubstep to teabag campers and shittalk about fucking their Moms but it's actually gayer than anybody possibly imagined.
