They're not completely broken, and earphones do vary from person-to-person quite a bit so it's not like it's "wrong" to like how some earphones sound. But they're probably among the worse value earbuds you can get. Check this graph out:

You basically get a shit load of extra bass, and a little extra treble to create an illusion of high quality sound, but that usually kills the mids leaving you with them feeling pretty drowned out.
If you're in the market for buds and wireless is just a luxury, I'd always recommend a pair of KZ ZSN Pro X's. They're about 25 bucks, have a detachable cable, look nice, and have a much more balanced sound signature. Plus a wired mic pretty much always outclasses the wireless mics you get in wireless buds. If wireless is a must-have, something like the Taotronics Soundliberty 79 will probably be around 40 to 50 bucks and outperforms the Raycons.
There's a lot of stuff that outperforms raycons for a lot cheaper. Problem is, it usually requires research and checking out reviews. As well as figuring out what each brand prioritises. Sennheiser, Raycon and Beats all have very different priorities when they make their buds.
