for those that dont know, fromsoft games have always saved your inputs. i dont know why they do this. but you should not mash buttons because that could effect what you are trying to do and may get an extra roll or attack etc.

You answered your own question. FromSoft emphasizes patience, learning, precision, and in so doing punishes the refusal to develop those skills. Mashing buttons is classic panicking and lacking situational awareness, and correct timing is better ensured by queuing presses.

you meet a very shady person at the start of the castle who all but flat out says "I love trusting people, they're so easy to trick."

you get to a room in this castle, dark as fuck with a powerful enemy in it, door closes behind you and is locked from the outside, you hear a wheezing laugh, similar to the NPC above. Phil sees and hears all of this and assumes the giant hulking knight in this dark room is giggling at him.

It’s really for the best he’s a shut-in 99% of the time. If he wasn’t he’d probably wind up befriended by some serial rapist to take the fall once the cops started getting too close.

Imagine the game is balanced around a new mechanic to not trivialize said mechanic.

Though I'm not sure if it's worse that he doesn't have enough self-awareness to realize that he's claiming every game is delayed but no no it's not him it's really the game, every game. ALMOST got there with KoF15 but then he's playing a made-up version that doesn't have an offline mode for all the locals he'll be going to. That or his wheelchair brigade doesn't notice.

Also I take it particularlyfrozenespresso is done with Phil and totally sees the light...you know like last time he was here before he spreged out and ran back to phil or was this his big master gay ops? I didn't listen to the interview so I'm just guessing.

Though that there was an interview and phil's pre-stream was just like an hour of "feel sorry for me I'm a victim everyone is out to get me" makes more sense now.
