It's crazy how boring Phil is even when he's mad sometimes. He used to flip the fuck out but now his test is undoubtedly too low to have any real rage, so he just finds an excuse for why nothing was his fault and sticks with it. With Elden Ring since the very first boss he fought it's been input delay. He does his same old dog and pony show of holding the controller up to the camera, pressing the dodge button, and then saying see. I do wonder if he actually believes there's delay or just goes through the whole thing to try and convince the differently abled viewers while knowing it's bullshit.
I miss when he would make three hundred different excuses in a row. Lag, how was I supposed to know, beginner's trap, I can't see, input delay, cruel game designers, incompetent game designers, his eyes hurt, he couldn't do anything, and my favorite, the character did that by itself he never pressed anything.
I know it's a fantasy since Phil will never interact with someone besides his robust family but I've wanted for a decade to just sit down with him and watch his own footage with him and have him try explain each excuse and how it wasn't his fault. Like when you stick a dog's head in its piss when it goes in the house. He lives in such a bubble it's hard to believe.
