However, this war is clearly fake. I don't mean now that no tanks crossed the Russian-Ukraine border, but there are clear signs that it's all a theater that is orchestrated by globalist forces with Putin acting as a "bad guy". Putin is no angel, as an old KGB officer he and his oligarchs are basically mafia type of government. I don't think he is stupid, and since this war seems to be a stupid move overall, I think he got bribed to go ahead.

To discern the real goals of this war will be easy once it's over, because I am pretty sure that the plan is going on swimmingly, notwithstanding the stress on populace and massive hysteria. Talking about nuclear arms suggests that ramping up fear is one of the major goals, so congrats to everyone who didn't get spooked. Personally, I think it's all about money. War is a great excuse to print more money with abandon, crash the markets ("oops, guys, srsly we just wanted to punish this ebil Putin, we srsly didn't know it will incinerate global economy"), steal more money with insider knowledge.

Now Russia is also completely justified in the eyes of NPCs to launch a massive cyber-attack on US financial system for example (NPCs don't know that it's not an easy task, but they would be totally convinced, it's all because of these sanctions)

Basically, if I wanted to reshape world the way I want I would start a bogus war that supposedly destroys the previous order, and nobody would squeak a pip, because, well, I am on the right side of the history, amrite?

2. Western Democracy and its Alliances
3. Economic Ramifications

Yeah no one in the Kremlin thought of the economic ramifications that could come out of this and made no preparations or contingencies for them. He also had no idea that the western democracies would be against him and any idea of "Ukrainian Resolve" is 95% western propaganda.

That is not how this works. Isolating enemy strong points may have worked with Island Hopping in the Pacific war, but it does not work in a pure land war. Soldiers need to eat. Their equipment needs fuel. They need ammunition. You can't just leave entire brigades of enemy soldiers behind your line of advance because it's too hard to get them out. Those troops don't just stay in place. They can attack your supply lines. Cut you off, and then what? You are alone in the wheat field and it does not matter if the map says you own that particular region if farmer Stanislav and his buddies are shooting at you
