npc

for now................
In my opinion the game is challenging. I found previous dark souls games to be quite easier than this one. I can't really give Phil shit for dying to bosses a lot. I died a lot to the sentinel at the beginning (maybe 30 tries?) I died to Margit easily 45 times as well. Currently getting my ass beat by Sanguine Noble and Leonine Misbegotten (when I get burnt out on one I go back to trying the other).

Ironically enough I killed the swamp dragon first try because I never left my horse and just kept riding into its back leg and swinging.

Dying 20,30, or 40 times to a boss I couldn't care about. Thats why these games are fun. You have a love hate relationship with them. Its forgiveble to die a bunch but with that being said... I will not forgive him for using NPC summons

Agreed. You’re there to play and explore not have another person help in a SOLO game. Sometimes those NPCs are too much and make short work of bosses. If he continues to use summons Itl be zzzz mode.

It really is depressing to go back and watch some of Phil's old stuff and realising what the advent of livestreaming and Phil's obvious reliance on guides is robbing us of.

It's hard to overstate just how fucking terrible he was at every game. At times it was genuinely like watching someone with a severe brain injury playing. Confused about the most obvious of objectives, utilising at most 20% of the mechanics in the game and completely forgetting the rest, he was one of the only people I can recall that had legitimate difficulty navigating through the menus in most games.

Now he miraculously stumbles upon the right path, the most OP weapons and strategies almost immediately and anytime he faces the slightest difficulty he'll just pause the game and wait for his chat to tell him exactly what to do.

The only entertainment to be found in Phil's content these days is the Children's TV presenter tone he takes up when he's pretending to figure out something he's already read in a guide.

"Huhhh.... Now I wonderrrrr.... What if I do this..... AHHAAA I knew it!"

Congratulations retard.

How many years playing these types of games and he still panic-mashes roll and then whines when the game queues button input.

This dude is a piece of work. I heard his... thing talking about how familiar and uninnovative Elden Ring is compared to all othe FromSoft games. Why is he LIKE this? He LOVES this game but he's so determined not to be seen as a shill that he actively looks for something ANYTHING to get mad at. Why is he always trying to have an AVGN "No Seriously" moment? Or when Nostalgia Critic had his Where's the fair use movement? When AVGN shit on the Ghostbusters movie and everyone lost their shit? Thats what Phil keeps trying to do and its gay as hell. He really thinks he is anywhere near Channel Awesome or Angry Video Game Nerd fame. Delusional

Fuck its not even that. He's so happy about his new toy that he's trying to shit on it. I saw a video with a kid who got a ps5 for christmas. And instead of being thankful he ran away giggling going "take it back, I want a pc." He was so happy about his new toy that he couldn't believe it. Its just like this man child.

And you KNOW this... thing? I can't call it a rant or critique. He'll be hung up on it until the end and its gonna bring his review down to like a 7.5. Fucking hell man

"I wonder how many people found this thing..." the the developers clearly wanted players to find to the point of making it something... "I saw earlier from the surface" .

I got you Phil.
1. Whoever else read the guide you read.
2. Other streamers and their viewers literally days ago.
3. Probably the majority of the people who plan on 100% the game and beating as in the room previously you found not online a unique enemy but a valuable item.

Just you Phil. Your very special.

After 8 hours of exploration and beating a few mini-bosses, I finally got to the castle and faced Margit and beat him on my second try. Summons really do make fights so much easier, but they're fun to use. I'm torn, lol.

Samurai Level 27, didn't touch any stat other than raising Vigor to 16, Mind to 13, Endurance to 16, and Dexterity to 24. I also upgraded the Uchigatana to +2.

I used the Jellyfish summon and during the fight made sure to keep Margit between me and Jelly, used it to Aggro him and then ran up to him and used unsheathe a couple of times until he was staggered.

Phase two was similar to phase one but with more dodging and Jelly's poison doing chip damage.

Was I overleveled or is Jelly just that much of a chad?

salt rant at the end.. i guess the honeymoon phase of elden ring is over now.

only bitches use summons/co-op partners. you should be ashamed of yourself and start over.

2nd try lol. you aint even beat him yet

Large amounts of salts from the fact that Phil got hit by a ranged attack from a boss when its telegraphed in front of him.

Every ranged attack in Elden Ring tracks. There are enemies that make what he just experienced look like that boss couldn't hit the broad side of a barn. He got relaxed and got clapped back then bitched about it in a literal FromSoftware game.

Summons just give you basically a free 25-40% of the bosses life bar.

Ragequit. (sorry for the ambient Elden Ring sounds in the back. Yeah im playing it too lol)

"FromSoftware are a bunch of idiots who don't polish their games. Laggy controls, glitchy... fuck that"

Expect more summons.
I love salt like this. He reads a guide for sure that or watches some videos, yet when his execution is poor the blames just come pouring out of his mouth like verbal diarrhea.

Edit 2:
The Daily Wrap - Feb. 27, 2022 - THANK YOU For a Great Elden Week! RAGE and Thoughts After Ton...png

Edit 3: KOF had the most delay on Playstation, therefore, Elden Ring probably has the most input delay of any console too. Also Nioh (!) has no input delay, go fucking play it then. "It's not Bloodborne 2, it's not Sekiro 2, it's its own new IP": You said yourself it's Dark Souls 4. Wind is also like bullets and just goes straight. He's so certain the boss fight is broken, he's searching the internet to find somene, anyone, who experienced the same thing to validate him and even if he's the only one, it's fucking broken. "I can't wait to continue playing it, but it's not f..., it's not perfect" It's not fun. There we go.

What an actual crybaby bitch
Some guy who is a hulking monstrosity with other people grafted on to him swinging 3 or 4 weapons and conjuring wind and flame? Makes perfect sense.

A gust of wind that doesn't only move in a straight line? WHAT THE FUCK IMPOSSIBLE BULLSHIT FROMSOFTWARE EATS DICKS DOOD

"Its Impossible!"

Leave it to Phil to apply real world physics in a game. You're playing a game with 15 foot abominations with magical elemental powers... Is it that out of the box to expect the tracking wind ranged attack would still track and hit you even if he's not facing you?. I get it though... nothing can ever be your fault so just blame anything.

Edit: *Accidently echo'd what @actually said.*

Member when Phil played one of the Dark Souls games for the first time and threw a huge babyfit over the fact that a magic-casting skeleton was throwing fireballs at him, and his specific complaint was how unrealistic it was that the fireball tracked his character?

I member.
