General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

  • 🔧 At about Midnight EST I am going to completely fuck up the site trying to fix something.
UCLA posts their enrollment numbers, it's 46,000. No VTuber would be happy about being pinpointed to the equivalent of a small town, but it's not enough to dox her on that alone.
lol where do you live where a "small town" has a population of 46,000? Let's take a drive through the midwest some time and I'll show you what a small town looks like.

And, yeah, like others have said, once you start melding this other clues about her together, narrowing down who she is becomes more feasible to the right nutjob. This one is a pretty big clue, I think - before today I thought she was also in Vancouver for some reason. Hope she's still able to stay safe.

"Hope no one archived it."
Ha, she chats with her boss like a fourteen-year-old girl texts with her friends.

Silly bear.

Had the names of 3 PC gen 2 members.
Which ones are those, and how do you know?

I do wonder why PC seems to be taking their time with Gen 2 when Nijisanji shits out new gens every two weeks or so.

Coco and Rushia were pretty close though, and she always tries to see the best in people, so who knows. Personally I don't really care, menhera is one of the qualities that makes a vtuber great (if your oshi isn't menhera, mildly retarded, or a hag... are you even living?)

You start to see clips like that in a wholly different light with the knowledge we have now. Seems like Coco noticed something is seriously wrong with Rushia and pretty much did therapy for her. I think we have a pretty good idea what kind of things "she couldn't share with other members" they've talked about until kson just had enough. Wonder if this debacle could've been avoided if they still were friends and she came to her after the incident to keep menhera mind out of the internet, but then again if not this it would be something else I bet dealing with Rushia was pretty draining on other talents and their mental health, certainly I can see that with Marine's depression episode since they seemed to be close, perhaps also with whatever Korone was struggling with she also happened to stream over Rushia.

Anyway is Rushia the first true lolcow of Vtubing? Meiro comes close but at least she proved to Rushia's pal Narukami that Roa really nagged her about that voice issue.

She may be the first professional level vtuber lolcow. It will all depend on if she makes good on her threat.

I'd forgotten how good Anya's English is.
She's my favorite of the ID gang. Doesn't put up with anyone's shit. I wish she had better numbers, but she seems really comfortable catering to a smaller audience.

No. Definitely not. Many professional level vtubers have exploded their careers in spectacular fashion before her.

None can match the legend of Kusunoki Sio in my opinion. An absolute drama fiend that constantly rratposted on 2ch throughout her entire career, even going as far as to anonymously shit on a vtuber she was collabing with in her thread DURING the collab and faked her "superhuman" mahjong skills by ghosting other players streams (she was admittedly quite good when not cheating though). Her anonymous account was only discovered due to an unfortunate security breach in NOTE which revealed her IP address and allowed antis to cross reference known IP hashes on 2ch to prove that a certain obnoxious thread-shitter was actually Sio.

edit:

Also forgot to mention that before she was Sio, she was a member of idol-bu, that one corpo that ended up replacing all their "voice actors" to much controversy. During her time there, she possibly doxxed all her co workers on 2ch, quit due to fighting with other members and accused the company of being abusive, creating a permanent hatebase of antis that followed her to her indie Sio persona.

In the end the police had to get involved because of IRL stalking incidents and rumored lawsuits and she disappeared forever. Sio was the biggest vtuber gossip topic for the summer of 2020 until Coco's Taiwan yab.

Time for the classic "what account the new benis havers follow" to see what they are into, not added people that were mentioned in the debut streams but if i dont remember them maybe i will add them
Jeeze do these people feel the need to instantly join the western indie trash clique, atleast they don't follow zentreya or veibae, and ofc they follow the wigger, out of all of the holos she's the closest thing there is.

Sio actually had a bit of a similar history with destroying Vtuber company from the inside, that's why she had so many antis (actually also Uto comes to mind) but I've seen people questioning that note IP leak and her being EC I don't know enough about JP internet to really judge it but either way there is a bit of a pattern with fake or exaggerated accusations against Vtuber companies/management, it's probably not unique to Vtubing industry though.

Anyway some interesting reactions to Yugo debut:

Well, reddit sure as fuck wont talk about this, and no one here is autistic enough to go on a manhunt, so I think shes relatively safe.
But glad to see fishman learnt his lesson about the Streisand Effect.
I'm pretty sure all the apartment building are on the same street. The whole point is to make everything walking distance so yeah they are all pretty close together.

So technically her street address is obtainable however her home address is still safe.

A little slip and now your street address is out there. That ain't good.

You have no idea how much joy this brings me. The shitstorm is gonna be glorious.

I've been meaning to ask... is Flamenco able to be considered a V-tuber? I really like his doggo-in-a-bowl avatar thing.
He meets the most obvious criteria to be one, but IIRC he's said he doesn't consider himself to be one and he just uses the doggo to have something interesting on the screen while he talks, so I guess we should take his word for it. The doggo model itself is a stock character that comes with one of the vtuber software packages; I've seen others on Twitch using the same model. He does have his own customized versions of it, though, like the guntified version he used last night, or the one in Gura's shark hoodie he used tonight.

But I guess if we want the final word, we could ask him ourselves. @Flamenco ?

Coincidentally, Kson was very down around November 2021 when Rushai has her break and Mikeneko contact those drama tuber. She also mention recently that last time she fell into a slump, she was giving an ear to a depressed friend and get drag with said friend into a downward spiral. It's kinda match up. If what Kson have to hear was the pettan's menhera schizo speech and bitching on her other friends, I bet it would make even the haggiest hag feel bad too.

On the other hand, we have this moment from the very next stream after the termination annoucement;
Don't know what that mean. Could mean the friend who just got kicked out, or the friends that still in the company, or both.

I cannot see a reality where Rushia gets completely erased like a Stalinist wet dream. Chris and Mano, sure but Rushia is next level. On that note, I got into this sphere almost a year ago, months after the HoloCN vanished. Was there any interactions between CN and EN? Sorry if this was asked in the past, but had this question on my mind but really didn't want to ask /vt/ about it lol.
I know this is like 40 pages and 3 days late, but Amelia floated the idea of doing an Overwatch collab with Artia. Before, you know, the whole “holy shit a group of 50 or so slant-eyed dweebs are doing their best to drive a JP talent out of our company and like half of the CN branch are egging them on” shit.
