Naw, that's smart politicking from their point of view.

If Russia accedes, ukraine gets their country back.

When Russia doesn't, they can turn to US/EU and say "Look guys we tried everything to reach a peaceful solution with Russia and they won't stop invading, we really need some help though, so can you please shoot down any russian airplanes in our airspace also airstrike every russian vehicle you see"

I am now convinced this 'delegation' is just a joke to buy ukranians a little bit more time from the russian advance, so they can spin more propaganda to the west.

Putin is either went crazy or he went full retard. There is no 4D chess move on this botched invasion. He just alienated himself to the world and economically crippled his country.

Both of those wars were lost by the atrackers. The Russians are the Germans here. they have the whole world against them and playing every dirty trick to bleed them on this and their military is underperforming, to put it nicely. The Best thing Russia could do is pull back and say they achieved some vauge war goals to save face.

No one, not even glowies, are dumb enough to believe that though. Everyone knows if you have an army encircling your capital you aren't going to be the ones making demands in the negotiations for peace. Starting out at making gains (crimea is Russia's at this point) is not a negotiation it's going into a ferrari garage and offering £100.

Nothing coming out of these "negotiations" the arming of civilians or the threats of execution for those trying to protect the people in their care is particularly endearing on the part of the Ukrainian authorities.

3.5% is about equivalent to what COVID restrictions have done to Western economies. Seems like they expect a lot of recovery from the apocalyptic 20% drop in Q2 though

EDIT: To clarify, I believe the apocalyptic 20% drop, I don't understand why they think Russia will recover so rapidly from it to "only" end up at -3.5% for the year
