Phil has really latched on to input delay as a catch all excuse in recent years. He has claimed multiple times that the lag caused from wireless controllers gives games like Sonic Mania and Ghosts and Goblins Resurrected noticeable amounts of delay. It provides him with exactly what he wants: an evergreen, ego preserving excuse he can bust out any time he screws up the timing in any game.

It's hilarious when he himself lamented that he was getting older, and that his reflexes weren't as good as they once were. That, and he was fishing for pity with the "arthritis in his hand" bullshit.

Are you sure starter weapons won't work cause I've been running around trying out new builds and well, Samurai you want to keep the starter weapon, Spell-blade the starter melee weapon is best, Paladin the starter shield will suffice but you can farm one really early in the game, Dragon Priest weapon is inconsequential.

I can think of a single time he ever got mad at Derich. It was the latest Christmas marathahn where Phil was extra drunk.

Well that has some interesting implications to it, namely that Phil is biting something back with Derich when he's sober, because we know how the pigroach gets when he's drunk. We get "Phil's-a-nigger". That indicates that whatever is motivating him to spare the retard, it's quite literally forcing him to SPARE the retard, meaning he does actually want to rip him a bit for the spam and general stupidity.

Still doesn't explain why he's not open about the reason with his mods, though. That's odd, given his willingness to talk about whoever it was with the autism.

See this is why a book of lies would be a good idea for him, because he fucks himself the most often by forgetting his own bullshit whenever he's off on some tangent that's not related, like talking about what streaming is going to be like in twenty years.

Of course, there's still only so much a physical record in front of him can do when his brain just won't stop lying about damn near everything for so much as two fucking seconds, and almost entirely because he can't accept being wrong, and therefore basically has no choice but to ignore previous statements in order to make the contradicting ones he relies upon in any given moment.

So yeah, scratch that, a book of reminders would NOT help Phil, though only because he's fucking abnormal and doesn't know what what to do once his past statements lock him out of making others, in order to skirt the blame or feel superior when he doesn't deserve to, like he LOVES doing. He would react to it the same way he reacts to the already existing documentation done by the detractor community. "What? I said the exact opposite almost two years ago? Now I have to own up to my mistake if I don't want to get dunked on for making stupid excuses again? This is bullshit!"

He may forget his own lies, but it wouldn't stop him from contradicting himself even if he DID remember, because of the motive behind so many of those lies being vastly more important than any credibility.

He really is right about being a complete retard when it comes to the majority of a playthrough but somehow breezing right through the parts people typically find difficult. I don't know if he sees people talking about a certain part and watches tons of guides on it or if its just his luck stat popping up once again, but its happened to many times now that its a legitimate pattern.

Also, lol at him for always playing games like a coward and running past as many enemies as possible and then deciding for this one that he's going to finally be brave and fight everything when its designed to have you run away from things. I think he just wants to be a contrarian with as much things as he can so he can keep up the outsider gimmick.

I know I’m a few pages behind so just seeing these ER cope tweets, but man sure is ironic the dude that not but about a week ago went on a rant about how single player games aren’t competitive sure is treating Elden Ring like it’s a competition to see who can play the game “the most correctly”. Also the absolutely sickening humble brags about beating horsey and Mergit as if anyone fucking cares. It’s almost like he’s competing with other people who are playing a single player game…



My gf also brought up a good point to me about that rant he went on about not getting the credit he deserves for beating tree sentinel, she thinks in Phil’s mind he actually expected that to become a viral moment online, and I think she’s right. Phil has delusions of grandeur and actually expected that moment to be something that broke into “mainstream gaming news”. Imagine being so fucked in the head you fantasize about gaining Twitter clout for beating a challenging boss in a video game, and then being so crushed when it doesn’t materialize that you go on a 30 minute rant to 200 people about it. Lmao what a fag

(Also my turn for humble brag, I started with samurai and was doing half the damage on tree sentinel with uchigatana that he did with halberd, had to use dashing R2 strats just to get 90 damage output because it’s the only thrust attack I had and still beat it quite a bit faster and cleaner than he did with like half the attack range. It’s really not as impressive as he’s making it out to be, especially from a dude that’s “””played””” every main FS game in the series, some multiple times. NOBODY thinks what he did or I did is something that deserves attention, people do these games without taking a single hit of damage off an enemy. Get a fucking grip dude… the ego on that guy jfc. It’s moments like this that, despite how boring DSP can be, he will ALWAYS be a cow.)

It's easy to believe, given Phil's mood after the ProJared incident. The very reason we got that hilarious "debunking" video was from him legit thinking he had something capitalize on. He really thought the "truth" he said on camera was going to go viral and wash the stain away. Instead, it stained his legacy further.

He did nothing wrong, he did everything correct.

Phil harping so much on getting that sub count back up to where it was before Twitch yanked them away really goes to show just how much he relied upon those checks to cover his bills and let him whale away without as much worry as he has these days.

Though I don't doubt that his pleas to be patted on the back for all he has done since getting booted from the partnership program on Twitch are sincere, because he sounds like such a little boy in need of an outside source of copium there. He is REALLY tired of being the only one saying what he wants to hear, he practically admits it in that clip, talking about how great it would be for people to become members as a show of congratulations, essentially.

Keep in mind, Phil knows damn well that he was kicked for things he actually did, and therefore needs even more powerfully to be "told" in some way, by his audience, that he did nothing wrong and is totally such a brave and enduring person who doesn't stay down when he's pushed to the ground. The more it's not true, the more Phil needs it to be said.

Some will take this as evidence that his mother raised him on copium, but I think it's the opposite. He has talked before about how stubborn she supposedly is, never admitting to being wrong. I think he says that because Linda was the one least tolerant of his constantly getting shit wrong. Not taking her for a great parent, just saying that she messed up largely out of not realizing what kind of kid she had birthed. Probably corrected him all the time, and his stupid ass slowly developed a level of contempt for it instead of, you know, learning. I just don't see enough indignation at being deprived of soothing indulgences of his stupid childish delusions, just a lot of pathetic depression over its absence. Exactly what you would expect from not getting it as a kid, either.

Yeah, and if he did keep it up, like I said, it would just close off even more doors and make him mad, because it doesn't address the underlying issue of WHY he says so much bullshit. That's a great marketing move. For the price of a controller he got all eyes from gaming news on his stream, while also advertising that it's unpredictable and he's liable to blow up and rage.
This is the sort of thing Phil should be leaning into. Be the embodiment of the salty stubborn gamer and have people tip him to tell him he sucks. Nobody wants a fun chill pahsitive stream where he sings what he sees while Derich drops PokeTrivia. If he was known as the tahxic soulsborne streamer he'd get a lot more views and recognition, especially if he did PvP.
