I resent that!

Of course, I know the whole downed invisible Stealth Jet story. Take that and multiply it by thousands of downed planes if not more due to Russia's modern-day equipment and of much larger numbers. Nato had air superiority in Serbia, I'm not so sure they would get it in Russia too to begin with.

They were both found rolled into a ditch. I totally agree that carrying a tourniquet and other first aid supplies (as well as knowing how to use them) is important, war or not, but I fail to understand how a tourniquet could have saved them from being euthanized by cowards who realized they shot up some civvies.
I wasn't aware they were both killed. That would constitute a warcrime assuming someone came up later and killed them and it wasn't from the initial volley. I can't tell how badly wounded the son is, if at all, at this point.

Ukraine has found a new war hero to rally around in the form of Vitalli Skakun, a combat engineer who manually detonated a bridge to slow advancing Russian forces.

Seeing a war through the lens of modern social media is breaking me on a level I didn't think possible.
"OMG look at this heckin war hero who sacrificed himself just like Iron Man did to beat Thanos! I'll upvote that!"

Seeing this makes me want to unironically kill myself. What bleak hellscape have we created?

Anyone want to sperg out about what’s visible on flightradar24.com with me?

obvs if a military plane is visible on a hobbyist plane spotting site it’s because the military wants the enemy to see it, so this isn’t top secret stuff or ‘owt, but I hoped some of you tank geeks might be also able to kiwisplain some plane knowledge?

these are all from the last hour or so but I’ve got screen shots of potentially interesting stuff from the last 36 hours (and you can ‘replay’ on the site and watch a specific time period).

I’ll put most of the images behind spoilers but only so I don’t clog the thread up with geocities-looking graphics, there are no dead Slavs behind these tags…

i’ve got some two screen records of planes disappearing (presumably due to turning transponders off) if anyone wants to see them (including a US Viper than drops off the map near Venice - presumably landing at Aviano Airbase (wikipedia says Aviano is ‘believed to host nuclear weapons’…)

The last one is called Joint Stars and it uses belly mounted radar to detect ground units like tanks. I don't know how useful it will be for the Ukrainians.

Twitter was a mistake.

You would've necked yourself in a minute back in the day, posters of this guy's mug would be plastered on every lamppost and flat surface. There would literally be no way to not see it except stay in your basement with the lights out 24/7

Big if true:

Who's to say that it wasn't your beloved Ukrainian friends that did this? So far I've seen no video of Russians in Russian uniform killing civilians, only your beloved Azov Battalion executing people trying to escape Melitopol (and locking its entire population in by mining the area) and the modern-day volkssturm shooting people for being a minute after curfew.

We all have different social circles, mine are admittedly range from not-giving-fuck to militant anti-russian.

My bet is on 18y.o. russian loosing his shit at a sight of a van, and not ukrainian regulars who'd have dushka mounted. Those are 50 cal rounds going, not ak.

Yes there are vids of Russians hijacking a car, store and killing civvies, but at this point it's just uki-bros posting vs russia-bros posting shit. I just don't the time to prove anything to you and frankly I don't care to.

And after all the Ghost of KEEEEEEV bullshit, and Snake Island HEROES...and yeah, how do we know this guy actually existed if he is now a red mist?

I feel like we are all being gaslit, 24/7. The Redditors and Twittertardationers are all falling for it immediately. PRESS X TO DOUBT on that fact alone.
