Mega Rad Gun Thread

I was firing my AR-15 and noticed there was smoke coming out from all sides while firing it.

Smoke coming off the barrel and out of the gap between upper and lower and the charging handle.

Also the cheap $100 red dot sight didn't work lol, I can see why money is important to buy optics.

Did you put a whole bunch of oil on before firing?

Welp, I went to the range today and ended up making an impulse buy. I'm now the proud owner of a brand new Glock 19.
congrats!

I am not at all the kind of owner who ever will say what gun is "best" but when it comes to a jack of all trades the best swiss army knife of a pistol I will go to the g19. A good duty gun, carry, back up etc. Just a fine pistol and one of the best in history TBH in my VERY humble tismo views.

g3s as mentioned tons of aftermarket.

My one female friend who carries, She "kinda" knows guns, (learned from some loser faggot like bassomatic) on her own chose the g19 as her daily carry and as a 5'4" maybe 120? lb woman hides it on her easy. It's a fuck ton of fire power for putting off people. But at same time a nice light, RMR or what ever shit you like the G19 is a great bed side gun if you don't have something else.

I really want to do a 80% glock and will go for a 19 pimp carry build for lighter clothing because my g20 is a big boi and sucks to hide when its 90 out.

Lastly with all this praise for it, I am a egro and trigger snob (focus on snob not like I'm so Delta I know the difference from a 14 degree angle grip vs 14.3 degree) I'm not a fan of how glocks look or feel outta the box and I grew up and was trained with hammer guns.

I'm kinda drunk babbling and pressing a lot of 7.7 right now.

As others have mentioned, that smoke is probably oil/grease burning off. I know guys that swear by running their rifles "wet", but I use very little grease on my ARs - just a bit on the bolt body, bolt lugs and cam pin, some on the BCG wherever it contacts the receiver and that's about it.

As for the optic, you don't have to spend too much more than $100 to get something that doesn't completely suck - the Sig Romeo5 (or Holosun/Primary Arms equivalent) is typically not too much more than that and can often be had for a bill on sale. It's not an Aimpoint, but it'll take a reasonable amount of abuse and hold zero.

Funny you mention Romeo5, because it was the Romeo5.

Before I went out, I tested it and it did work.

Go to the range and all of a sudden it would not turn on or work.

Well I also do have Aimpoint for another AR and its very good.

I guess I will look into another Aimpoint or Eotech or Trijcon once I get some dough saved up.

I will admit that the UTG Pro MBUS that comes with the Saints are decent but nowhere as good as the Magpul Pro MBUS.

All those tiers lists are AIDS, the only good ones are the joke ones where they'll put PSA in high tier or HK in poverty tier just to watch people freak out.
If you really want to upset HK fanboys, tell them there's no actual difference between HK, MKE, and POF MP5s.

Well, that sucks. I haven't had any problems with mine, but the worst it's seen is some light local competition use.
