With all the escalation going on, I wonder when the Rooskies are gonna cut off Europe's gas (assuming they don't cut themselves off first to pwn Putin).

So far they've been pretty restrained in even threatening to pull that lever (even talking mad shit about nukes before talking about stopping gas supplies), but they'll be looking for ways to hit back now that the Germans in particular are openly arming Ukraine.

Kinda feels like this is getting closer to a full scale Happening, unless Russia is able to wrap things up quickly.

It means that NATO is flying sorties into Ukraine using the full force of their air support and likely within range of their air defenses. Saying they are giving them to them directly is cover in case they are seen or shot down. There is also "volunteers" there from NATO training them on how to use their new toys.

No. Not during the war. Swiss Banking had high standards then.

The Swiss banks got into trouble when they started doing more and more business within the United States. Being in the United States brought them under the power of the US government to hurt them. Around 2008 or so, the Swiss kind of surrendered. They gave up on privacy and since then anyone in American should assume that any account they have in Swiss Bank could or will be disclosed to the American government.

They have totally surrendered now. There is no privacy and everything done there is probably observed by the US government or they will provide information to the US government on request.

This is virtually unprecedented. Because so much Russian assets are hoarded overseas, I think Switzerland feels complicit in abetting Russia and oligarchs.
