I almost don't believe these abandoned vehicle stories. I can think of no time in history where an invading army just left shit for people to find.

It's not entirely unprecedented. Happened a ton on the eastern front in ww2 to both sides there. Same thing in ww1, almost all the German tanks were actually just captured British ones. Some of them may just be waiting on recovery vehicles and the russians don't think the Ukrainians will be able to do anything to them while it sits there.
