Actually, fibro is and of itself is a bullshit condition. it's often given the nickname "shit life syndrome" amongst med staff. It's a symptom of a shit lifestyle which is easy to fall into if you're poor and happy to be lazy.
Fibro is caused mostly by being lazy, not taking exercise, not getting out into the fresh air and not eating well. Too many people see poverty as being an excuse for these things.
Any young person who claims fibro is completely worth dismissing as being a munchie.
I think fibro is more of a catch-all net diagnosis for chronic pain conditions that aren't easy to diagnose. For many people, it is a real and frustrating thing, and these people DO exercise, eat well, etc. but still have distressing and unexplainable pain and discomfort that gets in the way of their lives.
Fibro however has ALSO been co-opted by the munchie community because it's so vague and has such a seemingly endless list of symptoms. I'd say that's the "shit life syndrome" we're seeing with Jude, who is def a munchie and pill pusher.
It's actually a mitochondrial disorder that ends up manifesting as a mash up of a neurological and autoimmune disorders. Mitochondria is powerhouse of cell. What happens when that doesnt work? You get fucked. It gets falsely accused as being fake for two reasons. 1) people have a hard time wrapping thier heads around otherwise normal looking humans of young to adult age being chronically sick which is understandable and 2) because of internet munchies who likely are experiencing psychosomatic symptoms of depression or mentalz (the way depression effects your brain, it slows it down and causes similar symptoms to many unrelated chronic illnesses. It also can cause physical pain, foggy brain, over or undereating, slowness of movement...). 9/10 times I'd say most internet munchies indeed are experiencing depresso or other mentals but refuse to admit it/treat it because it's not that spicy. If you actually are just depressed this is good news because it means you can likely cure it if you take your fucking meds and go to therapy.
Not all chronic "invisible" diseases are fake or just for fats, infact a lot fats are
more at risk for said diseases such as MS (multiple sclerosis), PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome
which btw can sometimes be cured if you stop being fat) etc
because they are fat . Not all young people who have chronic illnesses are "faking" because if you look at age of disease onset for most of these illnesses in journals you will see it highlighted that it can start "young" as in 20s. Also it's misleading to say all diagnoses are "catch all" as fibromyalgia actually has
really set symptoms and trigger points etc. people just don't read the literature and just look at overarching themes like "pain" or "fatigue". A better example of a more "catch all" is chronic fatigue syndrome/cfs which is basically what dysphoria is to trannies. It's a symptom of something you have that people don't know how to categorize it because it's vague.
Said munchers are also the people who either never go to specialists to get pro diagnoses, or
always are doctor shopping (and posting online about it). Getting a real diagnosis involves actual work ups that often involve involve blood work, MRIs etc. to rule out other causes.
The biggest kicker of if someone is munching is "do they actually follow the treatment options?" People who are medically compliant rarely are cows as it requires you to often make uncomfortable changes or stop shit-tier habits (not smoking, drinking, binge eating, sleep schedule, specific diets that exclude normie foods). Even then, you're still disabled. Your life just sucks less than if you went peak Jude or Ash or Anna and fail to proactively treat problems you allegedly have.
