Pretty sure it would just streamline diplomatic, economic and immigration (read: makes it easier to take Ukranian civilians who are currently fleeing into EU nations) avenues. I don't think it would necessarily mean anything militarily beyond making it easier to transport weapons into Ukraine.

It would mean the US/NATO could if it wants to park nukes in Ukraine and checkmate Russia. Obviously Russia wants Ukraine in there sphere of influence so they have a nice buffer zone.

Like the fact that Boomers think protesting actually does anything (in their minds they stopped Vietnam and got darkies the right to vote by protesting and waving signs and listening to rock and roll and giving each other herpes) Boomers consider the press, which brought down Nixon, exposed the truth of Vietnam, and spent 30 years licking the Baby Boomer's assholes, to be their truthful friend who will always speak truth to power and tell them the truth.

In reality the press is a bunch of lying faggots all out to break a story that fucks over other people and gets attention, before jumping off and looking for a new story.

I know people tend to think of the mid-20th Century as America's Golden Age, but that era is starting to piss me off more and more.
