Will never happen. Despite Germany, France etc probably wanting to virtue signal and bend some rules there is the need for a unanimous vote to admit new members.

If they go ahead with the vote I would expect Hungary and a couple of others to probably veto it.

If they try to skip the vote I would expect the whole bloc to start coming apart at the seams due to the shit a lot of Eastern European nations had to go through to get in and the fear of Germany and Co just adding new members (like turke, a potentially independent catlonia etc) at will.

I've looked at the Russiaboo Propaganda, sorry I didn't save any examples but I'm sure they're on the usual suspects like /pol/ and whoever.

From my albeit limited understanding the claim is Russia just wants to protect itself from Nato, and it's true NATO exists more or less to keep Russia on a short leash.

Well optically Russia failed hard in getting their message across. The more I think about it how did Putin's speechwriters not realize that the Western Media would immediately jump on Putin's claim that he was starting war for Denazification? When they tried to bring missiles to Cuba JFK made the ultimatum, we'll blow up that ship if you try to arm a Communist Country on America's doorstep. Putin more or less should have done the same thing. You put missiles in Ukraine and we'll bomb the ever loving shit outta you.

They just look like the bad guys again. And my sympathy is narrow for them since parts of my family were forced to flee their homes due to whims of Russia led by a tyrant Georgian.
