I don't follow CRP much but from what I understand, he has a Ukrainian wife and a Ukrainian child? And he's spouting off pro-Russian shit on camera while still in Ukraine? He's going to get them all killed. Ukrainians got free weapons and some are killing each other over being suspected "saboteurs". I hope wife and child are able to hide their ties to him because it doesn't seem like he cares about them being safe.

1/6th of Ukraine's population is ethnic Russian. The Ukrainian government is rather anti-Russian.
His wife could easily be part of this significant Russian minority - infact, if it's anything like I have seen first-hand, most Ukrainian nationals who emigrate are Russians - who don't have a good time in Ukraine.
I mean, you might be right, or you might have completely identified the exact problem with all the warmongering in this thread. Ukraine and Russia are now at war over the fate of Ukraine's significant Russian minority -and then bam, American reject and his (potentially) Russian wife are massacred publicly by Ukrainian ultranationalists.
I don't watch CRP. I don't give a fuck who he is, I think he's retarded but at the end of the day, retardation isn't a crime, and the disgusting and corrupt actions of our governments have lead to a situation wherein American citizens are now in danger for exercising their basic rights - with the prospect that a foreign, hostile nation may have to swoop in to save American citizens from an American ally from murdering American women and children because of their anti-war stance.

The state is not inherently compelled to take action every time somebody travels to an unsafe place of their own volition, particularly if they are engaging in activities subervisive to the interests of said state. If I wanted to travel to Ethiopia right now and start a Gay Pride Crusade I find it highly unlikely there would be much domestic demand for the carpet bombing of Addis Ababa in retaliation for me being brutally murdered.
