Also get ready for the "we need more immigrants from Eastern Europe because the war and shit not because we want cheap workers pls".
I can promise that this is going to turn into lots (more) political rhetoric as to why western nations need to take in billions of (brown) people from around the world (on top of the millions who've already been taken in.) Lots of Ukrainians (and without even having numbers in front of me I'm willing to bet that there are a far higher percentage of them who are actually women and children than in other situations especially with the government recently restricting fighting aged men from leaving) pretty clearly have a valid claim to refugee status at the moment and once (it's already started on social media to be fair) they're accepted the usual suspects will be whinging about how they're only being welcomed because they're white.

Right now it's a bunch of socially approved sympathy (deservedly to be fair) for Ukrainians by people who had never heard of Kiev but are #standingwithkeev. By the end of the year many of these people will be lecturing about how Ukrainians have white privilege.

I still can't tell if the Ghost of Kiev thing started from a real happening that got way distorted, or was 100% a Samuyil Hyde shitpost from the beginning that got Chinese whispered.
A /k/ poster claimed to have been the one who edited the original Sam Hyde picture and spread the story, the media just picked it up and blew it up to high heaven allegedly

It was close which was why Germany was a smoldering ruin after the war that had to be propped up by gibsmedats whereas its two main enemies, the US and USSR, experienced enough economic growth to not just prosper but also fuel the industrialization of their satellites.

Nigger, Germany was never going to win the war. It wasn't even close. The question was always, "how long is it going to take and how much is it going to cost to put the krauts back in the cuckshed"
You're partaking in some serious historical determinism. The UK was pretty much a hair's breath from starting peace negotiations post the fall of France. Lord Halifax was the favorite to succeed Chamberlain and personally wanted to begin peace negotiations through Mussolini. The American ambassador to the UK at the time, Joseph Kennedy, also urged the British to seriously consider peace. For the eastern front the Soviets were very close to breaking and were actually in secret peace talks with Germany from 1942 to 1943. With or without the UK out of the war in 1940 it is possible for the Soviet Union and Germany to have agreed on a peace with would see Germany gaining a stronger foothold in eastern europe.
Of course the question becomes what the consequences would be of a European continent dominated by Germany, but which would still have the UK to its west and the Soviet Union to its east seeking vengeance.

I think some of his handing out of weapons and teaching how to make molotovs isn't really to fight the invasion right now, but instead to poison the well for any occupation or annexation of the country. I mean anti soviet partisans didn't stop until the early to mid 50s in Eastern Europe, with some literally hiding in the forests all the way up until the end of the cold war.
I imagine that if and when Russia ends up in control of Ukraine any post war insurgents are going to end up just like the anti-Soviet partisans you mentioned; they’ll carry on the fight for years, maybe a decade, but ultimately they’re not going to make the bear cry uncle and leave. This isn’t a Mideast shithole with questionable strategic value, it’s a long coveted part of Europe that Russia sees as part of it sphere of influence. Considering how those would be freedom fighters got mowed down like grass and how most of these civies with rifles right now are looting and shooting at random I don’t think Ukraine is going to be sending its best in a guerrilla war.

Not a lot of people know this but the majority of grain consumed in the Arab states comes from Russia and Ukraine. The last time that slavgrain exports lagged, we got the Arab Spring. This shortage is probably going to be ten times worse.

Prepare your anuses for compounding happenings.
Arabs will be sacrificed for the greater good ™️. Be prepared to have more expensive breads, cakes, and so on.

Which lends credence to the theory that all those third rate units that were getting captured\fucked up in the first few days were just recon in force for the main line units and soaking up some of the javelins.

Which also really sucks, because the population is getting cowed into fighting a modern army, egged on and financed by every single western government in existence. They are all about to find out what it feels like being an insurgent in Afghanistan or Iraq, except they have little to no experience, against an army with no ROE, way better equipment, and air support.

I am wondering what will happen with the "Russians are War Criminals!" talk going on right now from the west, as more video comes out of these unprepared people zerging armored columns and subsequently getting blown apart hits the internet.
Plus the population is filled with infidels who don't believe in the unifying power of Allah and his final prophet Muhammad and of course, keeping the goats safe from western pigs and their pet niggers.

We're not a talking about they same relentless ruthless Russia that raped and pillaged over 70 years ago
They put the offer for treaty-talks on the table. And any Uke with a cellphone and data-plan can and will hear about this
If they find out that Selensky had plenty of offers to capitulate and he didn't take'em, morale will crumble quickly
Yeah, people taking up arms to defend their homes against an invading army love it when their leader surrenders...
Holy shit, you're a retarded faggot lmao

worthless idea. bunkers (static defense fortification in general) are near useless in the modern era because they are just sitting ducks waiting to get popped by artillery shells and rockets from 20 miles away.
That's not really true. Static bunkers and fortifications are still things that have to be discovered and destroyed, using time-consuming methods and expensive equipment. A defender can build as many bunkers as time allows, while the attacker always has a limited amount of ordinance at their disposal. You just need to utilize a certain amount of camouflage and deception to make the enemy have to carefully consider which discovered positions to bomb. There are ways to make your enemy waste their precious munitions on bombing empty bunkers and fortifications while your real force is making its stand elsewhere.

American wars where the USA has practically an infinite amount of ordinance has really skewed the understanding that a lot of people have of war. No other country in the world can bring to bear enough effective weapons to neutralize every single defensive position beforehand. Defence in depth is still based largely on the effective use of fortifications and that is unlikely to change any time soon.

I am so tired of fags coming into this thread to inform us that it was wrong for Putin to invade Ukraine like it's some kind of mic-drop le epic ownage moment no one here had considered yet.
Putin was wrong to invade a country that wasn't attacking him based on extreme paranoia about what maybe could might happen in the future if he didn't

I wasn't sure you'd been informed, mic drop Putin sweaties :smug:

So I've been thinking about what the longer term consequences of this whole deal are. For starters putin has just completely justified the existence of NATO from the European view, so I suspect were going to see at least a slight increase in military spending across the board. Sweden and Finland are probably a bit nervous now as well, so I see them increasing it by quite a bit more. Unless this goes hot, we're definitely in a new cold war for the foreseeable future.

Also while this justified the existence of NATO, on the Russian front, it also justifies a lot of putins policies to his domestic population. Namely the "see the west really is out to bully us, poor us" shit he likes to do. I see him announcing an actual formal successor to the old Warsaw Pact soon. (Yeah, I know that they have some weird CSTO group, but it really isn't the same).

In short, we get to live like boomers, and be extremely paranoid about the ruskies for a decade at least.

i don't think it's feasible to build so many fucking bunkers that russia runs out of artillery shells before ukraine runs out of bunkers tbh tbh

I swear to god, right around the middle of the day my time, Reddit last calls at 2AM everywhere else, and all the high as a kite morons spill onto KF. It hits the peak well into the afternoon. Just a bunch of usernames I have never seen before spewing it.
Yuri Bezmenov, a KGB defector, explains it.

Long story short, the public is being subjected to a barrage of misinformation in an attempt to force them to give up trying to find the truth and just accept whatever they are told. It's meant to demoralize us all.
This video (in its entirety) red pilled, black pilled, and just generally pilled me ten odd years ago. A myriad of other off-color forums (this one included, lulz) did the rest.

It depends whether you consider just 'lying' to be 'shitposting'.

The ukrops just take every one of their losses, and base their lies on them. I.e.
  1. Snake Island border guard refuse to die for the zionist dictator- they claim that every single one of them died across all channels until it
  2. Ukranian Air Force completely destroyed- they claim that some imaginary pilot actually made ace but actually he lives in Canada or is dead so you can't talk to him. Also, the ukrop claim that they shot down two Il-76s. I'm assuming at some point they'll post pictures of their own Il-76s destroyed on the ground and claim they're Russian.
One of those Il-76s may actually be true, early on we had a video here of what looked like one going down in a flat spin, which is a death sentence. Who knows though.

Maybe not full, Under-the-Reichstag style bunkers, but scatter two / three man fighting holes absolutely everywhere all over your country? It's not a terrible idea.
