Finding it wild that Wedge has an opinion on the Young British Artists. I mean they're not super niche, the YBAs include people like Tracy Emin, Damien Hurst, Chris Ofili and Gillian Wearing.

This thing still goes for over $1k used and for most artists, especially hobbyists or newbies, a $2k Cintiq is a huge reach unless you're loaded. Even moreso if it's been sat in a closet unused for god knows how long.

For a man who is constantly e-begging for "unexpected bills" and lives in such humble surroundings as a trancher he really does live like a solidly middle class man on a comfy salary. Has expensive tech (including a PC and multiple monitors for gaming), an exercise machine at home that he of course doesn't use, buys shit from Amazon all the time (as evidenced by the mountain of boxes in the last few exercise machine pics), has an expensive hobby (collecting Troonsformers toys), spends excessively on unnecessary wants that do not better his life one bit (weed, random plastic toys, commissions, etc.). If he doesn't have immense credit card debt by this point I have to wonder where he's getting the funds, because I don't think his shitty grifts would cut it.

Someone's definitely pointed this out upthread but it never ceases to amaze that he doesn't even try to open up commissions or something to make use of a professional grade art tool in his home while whinging about not having the spoons to pick up drawing again. Literally a spoiled brat in a room full of expensive toys whining that he has nothing to play with.

Why'd he put a huion on his wishlist if he has the cintiq? Cintiq are top tier. Did he wreck it somehow?

I'd imagine the reason is probably because Kevin is tracing. I don't know furry art well enough to prove it but I my suspicion level is super high. Even though his artwork isn't great it's way too polished in term of color and anatomy for someone whose just a casual artist and especially one whose very out of practise. Your tablet doesn't magically make you better either, you need basic skills otherwise it looks terrible - just digitally. Unless he's done years of artwork previously you don't just get a tablet and do that good. I had an art teacher who summarised it in school as 'everyone has 10,000 bad drawings' and considering the level of laziness of Kevin there's no way he put in effort to get to that point. Nobody is just naturally good at art. You can have some natural talents that help you but it takes a long time to get to passable. He's shortcutting somehow, eyeballing absolutely, and chances are there's some patch together from other artworks so he's not technically tracing but if you had the original works you could see he traced it from multiple sources. If you were that good you'd be far less likely to spend money on other artists unless they have a style you REALLY like because you could just draw whatever you want yourself.

Meiwaku's post showing his other artwork just confirms it. There's way waaayyyy to much style and skill variation between the various pieces he posted. Even accounting for improvement over years artists will usually develop a visual pattern that makes them identifiable.

Doing commission work is already a fraught business too with much better artists just dropping off the face of the earth after getting paid. You could browse the artist beware or the service reviews on toyhouse to see how common the problem is. Unless you're very professional and good at managing your time it's not something you should be doing. Kevin should not be taking commissions because he'd take the money and offer nothing back but excuses.

Whenever I see poor teeth care I just think lazy parenting. Once your parents get you in the habit of brushing and flossing you never really unlearn that.

But you don’t even need to floss frequently to have good teeth, brushing twice a day or more is good enough to prevent cavities. Hell even some chewing gums are good for your teeth. Troons can’t dilate, can’t brush their teeth, can’t bother to pass. What’s new.

Wedge is most definitely guilty of tracing, but Kevin? Not buying it till I see some convincing side by sides. Somehow Wedge manages to trace and still have his art look like garbage.
