Holy fuck I totally forgot that stupid story. He was such a good ally, he was like a fresh absorbent Robin Hood.
God he wants to be a tough punk girl so bad. He hands out tampons and medicine, and he has knives, and he's not like the other girls.
I bet he thinks he's the "mom of the squad".

I just can't get over the image of this guy:

opening his locker and offering a teenage girl a tampon from his surplus

Ladies, forgive me if I'm reaching, but I assume no one would take him up on it for fear of a tracking fob being inside.
Lily would likely have been in my friend group if it weren't for her inherent disgust in anime, so I feel I can say that no one has ever asked her for pads or tampons. Nothing about her, pre or post transition, gives a hint that she even carries tampons or understands the size differences. If I had learned Lily had tampons, I would've assumed she had jerked off onto them.

After reading up a bit on his thread, I noticed some similarities between Jilly and Louis Gagliardi, with Lily being a slightly less slothful version of him, both of them;

-survive off e-begging and peoples generosity while offering very little in return
-pretty clearly adopted being "trans" for clout and to shield against criticism along with a wide array of other mental and physical illnesses or disabilities that come and go as it suits them
-get very MATI over the dumbest things and spend way too much time going on the internet looking to pick a fight
-have an extremely unwarranted sense of self-importance
-manipulate others for their own gain
-lie about their past constantly and obviously to garner sympathy or to make them look better then they are
-speaking of their past, every dirty little detail about them in out their because they themselves put it out their
-never really got big enough to gather a large enough group that cares about driving them off the internet, despite being terrible people
-radically far left who believe in inflicting bodily harm to anyone who disagrees with them, despite being spineless cowards when they aren't hiding behind an internet persona
-are frequently mysoginistic, racist, ect. despite using these terms to demonize others
-commission degenerate fetish art

Granted, I don't know a boat load about Yandere Dev, so I'm not sure how much of the above also applies to him as well. But I got into Louis's thread a bit when it got tagged awhile back when he was, more or less, torturing his dying cat for pity money, and the guy did come off as a lazier, dumber version of Lily. Despite sharing many of the same flaws, Jilly (love that name btw) at least puts a little effort into making content to earn money, they at least try to convince others they're trans, they at least sort of try to keep their persona semi-consistent and hide their messed up tendencies.

Louis doesn't even seem to make an effort most of the time on any of this. I could write paragraphs on this, but no one wants to read all that and, like I said, I don't know much about Yandere Dev, so maybe you're closer to the mark then I am, or maybe people like these just commonly share the same bad habits? I feel like that last bit is true.
Lily is in an interesting situation as a lolcow. I think she's more towards YanDev, but I totally see the Lou angle. Especially the random politisperging Lou does sometimes.

Lily is a special lolcow with the content production of sonichu, the edginess of YanDev, and a weird obsessive-ness about Gardevoir that mirrors a lolcow I like: PreciousLeaf.

I disagree with Cypher that Broken Champion is not porn just because it's about abuse. It might not be for her, but I doubt that it isn't for Liliana, despite what she might say. I only even think about this because of what Liliana said on that stream with Mikaila in which she compared kinky with feeling/being Anevay and explicitely on the context of Mikaila making a dumb joke about having a crack on her face. The implication being that Anevay would enjoy having her face cracked.

I'm skimming through the fic myself and... I don't know if emotional torture porn is a thing, but it sounds like it could be because the constant whinning from everyone about how miserable Anevay is or how great her pain it's so off. It's all literally just about how much Aneway has suffered and how everyone cares about it.
Jaina gasped. “By the Tides! Did this woman have any happiness in her life!?”
“To my knowledge, only when it came to Sylvanas,” Lor’themar replied.
‘You are hurting, Anevay,’ she thought, hoping that Anevay’s spirit could hear her through her
own. ‘You are in so much pain. I can’t bear to see you like this. Let me help you. I cannot take
the pain away, but I can share your burden. Trust me.’
“They’re actually connecting!” Kleia exclaimed. “Feelings and memories are being shared
between them. We must keep our distance! This part of the process cannot be interrupted.”
“Why is she in so much pain?” Lor’themar asked as she watched Jaina suffer.
“She’s experiencing her Soulbind’s memories,” Kleia explained. “Anevay must be in a great deal
of pain.”
“Are inexcusable,” Jaina said as she and Taelia helped Anevay to her feet. “You were supposed
to be better than Sylvanas, Thrall! But not even Sylvanas stooped as low as to torture a
prisoner! Sylvanas never went as low as to rape someone in captivity! But you did! And you
continued even after she gave you everything you wanted!”
“This is a long-time injury, Maw Walker,” the broker remarked as she dabbed a salve on her hip.
“How did you hurt yourself in such a way?”
“Orc,” Anevay said matter of factly. “I didn’t have a say in the matter.”
“I see,” the broker nodded as she continued tending to the injury. “I cannot repair much of the
damage, it’s too severe and too set in. But I can at least deal with the pain. You will still have
trouble moving for a while.”
It's very repetitive.

Also, I don't know if "soulbounding" is an actual thing on the lore of the games or something Liliana made up but it's something that Jaina does to Anevay while she's unconscious because of all the trauma (that's how it's explained at least) to help her heal somehow from the soul damage. Anevay "consented" on a dream-like state but doesn't remember any of it when waking up and even she calls out Jaina for it, but it doesn't matter because it was for the best. Where did that I hear that before? I'm sorry for the long quote but I think this needs to be appreciated on it's entirety.
“Not entirely,” Anevay shook her head. “Jaina, you of all people should know the difference
between consent given in a compromised state and consent given when someone is actually fit
to do so. So why did you do it?”
The churning worsened. A seizing feeling grew in her chest as the gravity of her actions was
beginning to dawn on her. Guilt began to take root and creep into the forefront of her mind as
she struggled to retain eye contact. “It... it is as I said. To help you heal,” she responded finally.
“The Kyrian told us there was extensive damage to your soul after all you suffered. They gave
us three options to help you recover. Simply wait for however long you needed to rest, purge the
trauma from your spirit by... erasing your memories, or find a soulbind that could help shoulder
your pain. I chose to Soulbind with you because I thought it would lighten your burden. I promise
you, there was no ulterior motive.” ‘
She knew that reasoning might not have meant much to Anevay, and for good reason. She
knew she made a deep personal connection with someone else while their capacity to consent
was skewed. She understood, if too late, that she had essentially violated this girl, the latest of
others, it would seem. Jaina spoke what she believed to be the truth, but she knew the damage
was likely done.
Anevay sighed and stood up. “Ordinarily I’d be angry with you,” she said quietly as she
approached Jaina. “But... for reasons I can’t even begin to understand, you’ve been the first
person to show me any compassion since Sylvanas did so many years ago. I’m not entirely sure
why you did, but... I hope you know that I’m extremely grateful for it.”
Jaina’s eyes widened a margin. Once again, the conversation went in a direction she was not
expecting. “...Oh. Um... you’re welcome,” she said, albeit rather awkwardly. “I’m relieved to
know you aren’t angry with me. I know, given what I did, you’d have every right to be.”
“I know. But I think you’ve more than made up for it,” Anevay nodded.
Jaina’s brow furrowed slightly. Did Anevay really respond to such... basic compassion with such
gratitude? Exactly how easy was it for Sylvanas to build a positive relationship with her?
Immediately after this Anevay kisses Jaina.
By the time Jaina fully processed what was happening, Anevay pulled away. From there, she
could see the other woman’s face become a faint tint of red, her eyes slightly wider than was
natural.
“...Oh.”
“Sorry, old Ranger habit,” Anevay said, her voice still as toneless and deadpan as ever. “We
were always very close in Sylvanas’ squad back before the fall.”
“Oh, well of course,” Jaina said, regaining her composure and resisting the urge to fan herself
off. “Forgive my surprise, it’s just... been awhile since anyone’s done that.”
Anevay it's also dying from Azirite poisoning so she won't live for much longer. Sylvannas appears to promise that the people who hurt her will pay and then she's gone. She left Anduin. They live on a house and Jaina likes to infodump people about Anevay's trauma, just in case anyone forgot for two seconds.
“How old is she?”
“Eighty-nine.”
Lucille covered her mouth with her hands. “Eight-nine? But... that’s barely an adult by elven
standards.”

Why did you have to say it like that? Later there's still scenes where we remember that Anevay's suffering is greater than anyone's else suffering, even from people who survived a war invasion.
“That monster burned down my home at the behest of her horrid Queen!” Silysa exclaimed,
slamming her fist down onto the table once more. “I don’t care if the Horde threw her into a pen
to be the plaything of their wargs! It’s not enough!”
Anduin let out an exasperated breath through his nostrils before slumping in his seat by a
fraction. “Silysa Bladewing, you are dismissed from the Keep.”
Silysa bared her fangs at him. “You dare belittle the loss of my people as-”
“You are dismissed!” Anduin cut through more firmly. “Do not make me order the guards to throw
you out!”
But for the most part is Jaina justifying to everyone who she's not with Anevay for pitty (except she is), but because she truly cares about her. Then more scenes of Anevay talking even more about what she went through, showing her branding marks. It comes a point where's so melodramatic that's almost funny.
Something squeezed at Jaina’s chest as the realization dawned on her. “Is it... how many times
he forced you to...”
Anevay tense up, her nails digging into her arms, and nodded.
Jaina was speechless. She was breathless. She suddenly couldn’t get the air in her lung with
how fiercely the realization struck her. Within a heart skip, the potent shame Anevay felt for that
talley made too much sense.
“Oh, Anevay,” she whispered, her voice cracking slightly, her hand gently kneading the
unmarred skin on the elf’s shoulder.

“The sneering and the insults they threw at me throughout most of the torture was horrid,”
Anevay whispered. “But the first time... that happened... their laughter cut into my soul... I can
still hear it when everything is quiet.”
Jaina’s eyes began to sting with tears.
This is when we find out that the Heart of Azeroth left Anevay sterile but it's fine because Anevays had "more mommy issue than braincells." Why include that detail at all then? Boring domestic scenes with more mentions of how strong and amazing Anevay is for going through so much abuse.
“Because you’ve given so much of yourself for others,” Jaina explained. “People who have done
nothing for you, people you outright despise, people who have hurt you or those you love. You
did so much good for the Forsaken even before they ever trusted you. You endured so much
abuse from the Horde leaders purely for the sake of the people you were championing. Hell, my
being back home instead of Torghast is proof enough of your sense of mercy.”

She placed a hand on Anevay’s cheek and brought her closer until their foreheads were
pressed together. “...I know you might not see it that way. I know there were times where you felt
you didn’t have a choice or felt that your feelings on a decision didn’t matter enough, but... the
fact of the matter is you’ve given far more of yourself than anyone had any right to ask of you.
Perhaps that’s more horrifying than it is heartwarming, but it’s true.”
“There was something... off about her,” Jaina explained, taking the utmost care not to let
anything slip. “She didn’t fight the way I saw her fight in Zandalar. Her actions were... sluggish.
Almost apathetic. When last I saw her, she was walking with a definite limp. Whenever she
spoke there was a resigned sense of hopelessness in her voice. She didn’t look well and she
didn’t sound it either. I think her ability to escape the Maw was taxing her body. Whatever it was,
I don’t think she’s long for Azeroth. Trying to hunt a dying woman who only wants to be left
alone just seems like a mockery of justice.”
“Anevay... was not given this opportunity. Instead, she was tortured into giving up all the
information she had regarding Sylvanas... and was tortured after she did.” She gripped her staff
tightly as red began to form in the periphery of her vision. “...Thrall had been raping her
continuously in that time.”
I find so uncomfortable that Jaina is the one who keeps telling everyone about Anevay's rape without her consent or knowledge to justify somehow why she's there. It's obviously so we can have all other characters amaze of how much Anevays endured without her doing anything about it, but an actual relationship like that would be so weird. But it's okay because Anevay doesn't mind as long it makes people believe she's not a threat.

Then Jaina's brother appears to suggest that Anevay does something with the Light that I do not understand or care about, but Jaina says that Anevays hates the Light and wouldn't even consider it so just send her brother off. If Anevay had accepted she could have been cured from her poisoning, lived many years and all her scars would be gone. Jaina just denies all of this and doesn't even think making Anevay participate on the conversation about her own life. But it's okay because Anevay heard it all and thanks Jaina anyway.

I'm sure it's obvious by now, but there's the running theme of Jaina doing everything for Anevay and Anevay just appearing there for their "cutesy" scenes together or the sex. Anevay has no agency on anything happening, but this time it's treated as a good thing because at least Jaina has all the good intentions for her. But it's okay because Anevay actually wants to be submissive to someone so Jaina was correct in never asking anything in the first place.

By the way, Cypher? There's so many sex scenes here, I have counted at least four and this one in particular made me recoil on my seat, knowing the receipts from the server. I did not need to read this.
A moment longer, the kiss broke and Jaina whispered,
breathlessly, against her lips. “You’re such a good girl.”
Anevay gasped softly. Jaina always managed to pull at something deep and primal within her
when she called her that, and the hand between her legs didn’t help matters. She bit her lip and
caressed Jaina’s cheek. “I love it when you call me that,” she whispered.
“It’s true,” Jaina crooned tenderly, leaning forward to kiss her again. “You’re my good girl,
Anevay.”
Nothing of much interest happens except this.
“Anduin’s has a good head on his shoulders, but he’s still a hot blooded male,” Jaina argued.
“And I was very present in his life when he was... developing. I don’t want to risk any pubescent
fantasies resurfacing.”
“Resurfacing? You mean he’s definitely had them in the past?” Anevay raised an eyebrow.
Jaina winced and looked away.
“Anar’alah!” Anevay laughed as she clapped a hand over her mouth. “Oh shit, and I thought I
was the weirdo!”
“What do you mean?” Jaina scoffed.
“I’ve had a thing for Sylvanas since I was fucking NINE!” Anevay laughed. “But I mean...
Sylvanas wasn’t my fucking AUNT! My mother was right! Human Monarchies are fucked!”

Even on a story that isn't about people who're related, Liliana still had to add a incest implication somewhere. But that wasn't enough so Liliana added some... other implications I don't want to think about.
Anevay’s brow furrowed as a memory that rarely went considered suddenly floated to the
forefront of her mind. A memory of taking care of two rowdy kids and a toddler while Sylvanas
was negotiating. She clapped a hand to her mouth and pulled away from Jaina, moving to the
other side of the couch and staring at her.

“Anar’alah!” she whimpered. “That Ranger was me!”
The way Anevay so abruptly pulled away left Jaina stunned. By the time she gathered the sense
to ask her lover what was wrong, the explanation fell on her ears. Ocean blue eyes were blown
wide as she clasped a hand over her slack jawed mouth. “Wha... Are you serious?”
“Yes!” Anevay exclaimed. “I keep forgetting about it until something jogs my memory, but when
Sylvanas was negotiating with Terenas, I was charged with keeping you and the Menethil brats
out of their hair!”
“Oh...” Jaina whispered, her hand falling back down into her lap as she began to stare at
nothing. “So... you knew me when...”
“I held you in my lap and helped you learn how to read!” Anevay exclaimed before burying her
face in her hands.
“...Oh dear,” Jaina said simply.
“By the Endless Dark, I’m a cradle-robber!” Anevay bemoaned as her fingers grasped her own
hair.
“I mean...” Jaina trailed off, any words she wanted to say to try and appease the situation not
quite coming to her. This was certainly a revelation that would come across as ‘suspect’ to an
outside perspective. Her brow was tightly knit while she combed through her mind for
something. “Well... Kalec was centuries older than me and we still dated,” she offered before
almost immediately wincing. “Not... that I look back on that relationship fondly. Not because of
age but...” she trailed off again, having no idea where that thought was going.
Anevay is reading exactly the same as she wrote Rainbow Dash. Luckily for both of them, Aneway is lonely and dying so she doesn't care even if this revelation does make her uncomfortable. She "can make it work".

I wondered why Liliana didn't published this work if it was just about Anevay getting abused, because that didn't seemed the kind of thing she'd care about keeping from others with the way she already speaks about the character in front of her audience. Now I know it was because of this and she knew she couldn't bullshit her way out of it. People gave her too much shit about the sister fucking line in TSR so this would have added more fuel to the fire.

I don't know who Silysa is, but Liliana really doesn't like it when survivors of a genocide speak against the people who genocide them.
“Fine!” Silysa scowled, glancing behind Anduin at his empty quarters. “But if we do find
Darkflare, she’s my prisoner!”
“I am not sure I can sanction that, Lady Bladewing,” he said, moving to step out of his quarters
and closing the door behind him. “You claimed to commit some pretty inhumane actions against
her if that opportunity presented itself.”
“It’s what she deserves! That monster slaughtered my people at the behest of her precious
Banshee!” Silysa screamed, her eyes burning a hole in Anduin. “She deserves to know nothing
but pain and humiliation for the rest of her miserable life!”
“Your opinion on the matter is noted,” Anduin said, struggling to hold back the nauseous
churning he felt from Silysa’s vindictive desires.
Then the fic ends with this.

“Can you really protect me from the entire Alliance?” Anevay asked quietly.
Jaina was quiet for a time as she gave the question some further thought. “...Once we are
married, an attack against you will mean an attack against Kul Tiras,” she reasoned. “They’ll
have to choose between revenge against you and keeping the bulk of the Alliance’s navy.”
Anevay nodded and squeezed her tighter. “Alright. Alright, I trust you.”

and Lily always saying that she focuses more on the concept of healing than the concept of suffering, but this constant repetition and indulgence in how much Anevay deserves happiness because she suffers constantly without affecting her ability to interact with other people other than crying and being sad, tells me that the exorbitant and cartoonish degree of abuse that Anevay went through is just a stylistic choice to have an excuse for the characters' actions.

and rape victims being portrayed as cute submissive types is a bit much

what the fuck is up with all the anti sex bullshit lately??? so a character's popularity is "inflated" when people want to write porn out of them? a character isnt popular if people just like their design or think theyre hot or think their personality is sexy? again, being popular is being popular, it doesnt matter if theyre popular among people you dont like, theyre popular anyway

i should probably mention lily is quoting yahtzee on this, so it might not be as serious as we think

With how many times she repeats that Anevay deserves happines because she's been trough so much, almost makes you think that she wouldn't deserve said happines if she hadn't gone trough what she did...
Fuck, replace Anevay for her oc that married Twilight and you have her not-stockholm MLP fic described.

I think it's another A name, too.

...like Aliana.

Maybe that's why she always makes a point of playing the victim in any situation or why she lies about/exaggerates abusive situations towards her.

I can't reply to @Son Goku Baku 's post for some reason, but I guess as the resident Warcraft Sperg I'll chime in on this fic.
I'm sending you the bill for all the alcohol I need to get through this, though.

First off, yeah, this is absolutely self-gratifying porn for Lily because Anevay is so tortured, you guys. But she's also SO STRONG so she can totally handle it because she's so badass and awesome and totally not a self-insert power fantasy.

And yes, Soulbonding is a real thing that WoW added in the latest expansion. It's mostly done between denizens of the Shadowlands (the afterlife in the Warcraft universe), but I guess if two mortals are there they could technically do it. In-universe, though, it's more than just a passive temporary sharing of memories or feelings or whatever this ends up being in the fic. It's pretty much literally having your two souls fuse; whatever one person has ever experienced the other instantly experiences and understands at the deepest level. That whole short conversation of Jaina having to explain herself wouldn't have needed to happen because Anevay would have known Jaina's motives as well as Jaina did. Also, Soulbonds are permanent, even over great distances and time the link still remains, it's not a one-off thing. Again, just, proof that Lily doesn't actually understand Warcraft lore and she just crams in her own headcanon everywhere.
Which is proven again by the idea of "Azerite Poisoning". Azerite is pretty much literally the blood of the planet and Titan, Azeroth. It's basically incredibly potent physical magic that can be harnessed in a wide variety of ways, from making gunpowder and other chemicals massively more explosive, empowering a spellcaster's spells to be much more effective, to even completely neutralizing an incredibly toxic poison that would cause horribly painful death into a slightly fruity drink. So, the idea that someone can be "poisoned" by this is just... incredibly laughable. But hey, gotta add more wangst and torture/abuse somehow.

Does Lily know there are more ways to paint someone as an abuser or even just a Villain than just having them rape someone else? Like, I get that rape is a truly awful, despicable thing, but the way she has such a fascination with it and adds it, ultimately, into everything she writes is truly alarming. And it's an incredibly easy and convenient way for her to paint any character she hates unreasonably into more reasonable hate. Thrall and Baine apparently personally raped Anevay which is just... Literally the only way I can convey how wrong that is is by reminding that this is Lily's incredibly warped view of characters, and she probably views this as completely in-character and something they would probably do in-game.
Lily also sneaks in some more dull religious shit apparently. "Light=Christianity. Christianity=Bad. Therefore Light=Bad."

Yeah, that's just straight up sex. You can hmm and haa all you want, Lily, but when you explicitly state that a character has their hands between a woman's legs... that's sex. It's clear to all what is happening.
And christ, again with the implied incest that Lily is tooooooootally not into. Jaina isn't even blood-related to Anduin, she was just an aunt-like figure in his life. Like yeah, it'd absolutely be weird for him to have those kinds of thoughts/feelings about Jaina. But Lily brings it up out of nowhere for seemingly no reason other than, well, we know that she gets off on incest and she has to add an allusion to it in everything she writes. Oh and for good measure we have a child being into a much, much, much older woman, check that off the Lily Orchard Fanfic Bingo Card™
Fuck, and now she has to pull the same shit with Anevay being a formative presence in Jaina's childhood? Lily, fucking stop. This shit is so fucking skeevy like what the actual fuuuuuuck.

Anyway, last bit: Silysa is the Alliance Champion, a Night Elf Warrior. If I recall correctly, she doesn't have nearly the same amount of victories or accolades that Anevay does. In fact, I'm pretty sure some of Silysa's "achievements" were actually Anevay's that she let Silysa take the credit for, for one reason or another. So she's literally only Anevay's contemporary in title alone, and isn't actually anywhere near as strong or accomplished as Anevay.
Which, if you'll allow me to sperg one last time in this post, irks the fuck out of me. There is obviously a good deal of disconnect between canon and gameplay as you can't have literal millions of characters running around all being champions of the Alliance/Horde. They'd far outnumber the actual population of each race if they did. The way they solve this in the official lore is that they allude to the numerous champions/heroes every so often. Pretty much every big bad since WoW started has been, in-canon, dealt with by unnamed, unnumbered heroes (the exception being Onyxia, a Black Dragon from Vanilla WoW that was retconned to have been killed by Varian for character development stuff).
This allows the player, any player, to feel involved with the developing story.
But Lily instead has decided that an MMO's story is more like a Single Player game. Her character is the only Champion of the Horde, only one is ever allowed to exist, or two when she wants to make a new character. And so Anevay has faced literally everything on her own. Because she's so strong and badass that she doesn't need anyone else and other characters, even if just alluding to them briefly, would muddle the story and take away from the fact that Anevay is the bestest, strongest, most abused, most traumatized being to ever exist.

God, stewing in this shit is draining.

Look, not to power level to hell and back, but aftercare isn't for one party or the other. It can just as often be for the dominant party because they just treated the person they love in a shitty way, even if on some level they know that both of them are getting off on it.

And christ, again with the implied incest that Lily is tooooooootally not into. Jaina isn't even blood-related to Anduin, she was just an aunt-like figure in his life. Like yeah, it'd absolutely be weird for him to have those kinds of thoughts/feelings about Jaina. The thing that disturbs me the more about the "Anduin wanted to fuck me when he was a teen" scene is that Jaina make it seems as if it was to be expected because Anduin is "a hot blooded male." It just reminds me to how Rainbow Dash pedophilia was justified because she had a greater amount of testosterone on her body than other women or how Alaina and Rainbow are such big lesbians that they'd have totally fallen for their respective partners if they have been raised as sisters together.

Being male/having testosterone on your body doesn't make it more likely to develop incestuous/underage fantasies than literally any other person in the world. If that had just pop up one time in Stockholm that would be one thing, but the fact that this keeps popping up even on her current works like this one makes me think that this is something she actually believes in. I remember too that Mikaila blamed the testosterone on her body as to why she kept "giving in" whenever the ex girlfried she had physically abused would want sex, so I can assume that Liliana convinced her to reason this way too.

Here's the question: where did she learn to think like this? If this little theory of her already existed while she identified as a guy while writing Stockholm (and probably appears too on the Family Guy fanfic, I still haven't gotten that far), then thinking that she has some kind of personal experience with the matter and she has excused it away with "oh but that is just testosterone/I'm a guy/I'm such a big lesbian" becomes disturbingly appropiate. I don't want to think that way but Liliana's the one who keeps bringing it up, so what I'm supposed to do with that information but speculate?

I think Broken Champion technically doesn't qualify as pornography by the strict definition of pornography (a work produced exclusively and explicitly for erotic stimulation). I mean obviously Lily was getting off to it but there's enough plausible deniability that she can get away with saying 'It's not porn'. It's pornographic, but not itself pornography.

Regarding the soulbinding thing, and the mating bond, it seems like that even goes back to her Family Guy fanfiction in a lesser way (Matt being Meg's guardian angel, which I'm sure has some kind of tethering property) and was even a plot point in Tales of the Val'kyr, according to the (now deleted) wiki, where Ascentia apparently had to link her soul to whoever the hell her wife is, I fucking forget, and 'burn' her soul in order to save her life, and that left her permanently crippled as one of the Val'kyr so she always had to have special treatment and of course was so brave and loving for sacrificing her incredible power (also I think she was second to Ryder in power level) in order to save her beloved.

As to the focus on rape: I'm pretty sure she has a rape fetish, and specifically I think she has a fetish for women being raped. She lives this out both in her stories where every villain is a rapist and in her lewd ask extravaganzas where she responds very positively to Anons sending her rape fantasies. Now that I think about it, I wonder how many Anons actually send these specific fantasies and how many are her 'getting the ball rolling', shall we say, because come to think of it they all sound very similar to one another.

There's also the fact that making the villain a rapist is THE laziest way to make sure the audience knows they're evil. A rapist villain can be portrayed in some powerful, terrifying ways, but it's so often just stapled on to villains, or else attributed to nameless evil forces who are menacing an (inevitably) female character, to the point that rape in fiction oftentimes prompts the audience to just check out of the conflict. Rape in real life is horrific, but in fiction it's treated as an accessory, both for the villains to be True Evil and for the survivors to be Sympathetic Victims.

i should probably mention lily is quoting yahtzee on this, so it might not be as serious as we think

While I'm sure this was definitely just feeling edgy when she said this, the RVI wiki screenshot also goes out of its way to mention that Bhaalspawn had experienced a breakup -- presumably a bad one if it was so important to mention it on the wiki -- and judging by her treatment of woman overall it's very likely that the 'women are awful manipulative creatures' struck a very powerful chord with Lily and is to this day how she views women. Deciding to go trans just gives her an excuse to hate women while being on a higher echelon of oppression and therefore allowed to be a misogynist without any reprisal.

Regarding Broken Champion as a whole... oh my god. It's just 75k words about how Aliana is so put upon and deserves so much happiness and everybody around her revolves their lives around making her happy and that's what defines them as good people. And everybody just loves Anevay sooooo muuuuuuch and Anevay's had such a haaaaaard liiiiife that she deserves for everybody else to take care of her and she never has to do anything to try and make things better.

It's the same as comic!Lily having everybody fawn over her when something goes wrong, or everybody fawning over Ascentia or Ryder because they've had such hard lives, or fawning over Aliana because of dead mom, or people telling Matt Ryder that he doesn't deserve what a hard life he's had. It's always about how the self-insert is such a victim and that simple nature of being a victim entitles the to everybody else's unconditional love and affection. I assume this is because Lily believes she had such a hard life and was such a victim of abuse (to the point that her horrible abusive family still invites her to the reunions and encourages her to spend time with them) and the fact that everybody she meets doesn't instantly put their life on hold to revolve around her is itself furthering that abuse.

She's just using all these stories to get vicarious validation. "Oh, I feel so bad for Anevay, I want to kill her evil mom!" "Oh, I feel so bad for Aliana, Luke deserves to die!" "Oh, Doctor Ponytail is so evil for wanting to hold Lily and G accountable for ruining an experiment that could have saved an entire species!"

Frankly it's pathetic.

I keep thinking about those deleted posts Devil shared;
Aside from her views on sex being depressing, I wonder if she views rape as a form of using someone sexualy and this is what makes it appealing to her - because she doesn't understand that rape is primary about control. A rapist wants their victim to feel used as a means of control... (Am shit at explaining it, sorry)

This is a big part or rape survivor's trauma - the thought that if they let the event affect them, they give control to their rapist.

I have not had time to check out BC yet, so I don't know if this is talked about in the story, but from the excerpts I've seen Anevay is handling her trauma quite badly. She's trying to distract herself from it instead of dealing with it. Rather than focus on herself and accept that her traume is a part of her but does not define her, she let's someone else make all the decisions for her and make themselves a crutch Anevay can't survive without. Never leting her forget she's a victim.

I find it super weird that she made Anevay sterille too, considering this is a story revolving around aftermath of sexual assault?
It's like Lily's removing (one of the) consequences of sexual assault, because she doesn't find it...interesting enough?
The possibility of being pregnant from rape is one of the most horryfying fears of female survivors, let alone if they are! This is a huge deal!
I guess it doesn't get her off, but it's clear to say that she doesn't give a shit about survisvors or survivors experiences if they don't validate her victim complex.

She doesn't handle with it at all. The rape it's only there as a means for drama, for Liliana to sperg about how Sylvannas went through the same thing and yet she'd have never done the same thing to anyone, to make Anevay have less control about her own life and have pseudo intense moments where she just speaks of her trauma but we don't see any of it. I don't remember where we saw the same thing about Valithria apparently going through a long torture and then just talking about it like it was just a general bad thing that happened.

One of the quotes I put up talked about how Anevay still hears the laughter of her rapists when everything goes quiet. Quite a horrible thing to live with after such traumatic experience, right? It could have been a truly heart wrenching scene to have Anevay wake up screaming in the middle of the night because she's had a nightmare that she was still locked up, or maybe explore how tense and on edge Anevay lives every day, jumping out at every sound, her heart racing when someone enters the room and she doesn't immediately know who it is because it could be her rapist coming to hurt her again. We get none of that.

There are moments in which Anevay admits that she's not the same warrior than before, that she feels weak and hates that about herself, but it's literally only words because the moment she is called back into battle briefly she's doing the badass thing again and nobody even notices that she's is quite literally dying until she brings it up.

There's a small seed of something interesting there, exploring what is life when the war is still going but it's over for you and your entire life was about wars before, or even what it's like to feel so vulnerable and small and impotent after relying on your strenght for so long. But it's all just an excuse for everyone to fawn all over Anevay, to worry about her, to do things for her, to feel sorry for her, to force the romance between these two characters that otherwise wouldn't care about each other.

You could have used general torture for Anevay until she broke and it wouldn't have made no difference at all. There's no narrative reason why it had to be rape, except just for the shock value.

Edit: Pertining that ask that Liliana totally didn't send herself and it's related to this point. I wouldn't describe the fic like "about Anevay being raped and abused", but rather "Anevay getting everything she wants because she is a poor victim that never did no wrong and has no problem with sex."
