Close Combat is the only real tactical PC combat simulator. And not that new faggy one that runs and looks like hot shit. It's already a videogame (well, autism sim). Funnily enough, it came out a year ago.

It signifies that you are not supposed to shoot the person wearing the armband if you yourself are also wearing that same armband, they are primarily worn by Counterterror unitsThey've been wearing it too, though I have no idea what it's supposed to signify.
I always love how there are smoothbrains in every community that advocates censoring things in a fictional media just because of $CURRENT_EVENTS.War Thunder and its own community is having its own issues in regards to the conflict:

A survey by the Finnish broadcasting company Yle found that 53 percent of Finns support their country joining NATO. This figure goes up to 66 percent if neighboring Sweden were also to join NATO. This marks a drastic shift in public attitudes — in the previous poll in 2017, only 19 percent of Finns supported NATO membership.
It's been nearly a week of it, and I just still can't get over how weird it is to hear those in 2022 over a modern city.Air sirens are going off in Kyiv as well as Pryluky Chernihiv, Sumy, Piryatin, and Myrhorod which are smaller cities close to Kyiv all in the last 10 minutes.
They copy it from FSB Alfa, which due to the fact they wear western style uniforms which are also readily available in Russia they use Armbands for IFF purposes.Edit: Misread your post. Sorry
They've been wearing it too, though I have no idea what it's supposed to signify.

How the Russian military remade itself into a modern, efficient and deadly fighting machine
Russia’s antiquated military was exposed in the 2008 war with Georgia, prompting a major overhaul of the armed services that are now being unleashed on Ukraine.theconversation.com
I think it's just a reflective belt similar to a PT belt that they'd obviously take off before actually getting into the field.
It really is crazy. I have a relative in her 60s and she's full on acting just like the dumbass 18 year olds on Twitter (except she's on Facebook.) Constant shares of the Ukrainian flag, thots and prayers, etc. She's even on the warpath, angry that my country (Canada, the rogue terrorist honk state) and the US aren't teleporting into Ukraine right now to blow up Iceland or whoever they're at war with. To my knowledge she doesn't even know anyone who comes from a Ukrainian or Russian background, but the hype around this is massive.I think they underestimated how huge the backlash from the West would be. I don't think the counted on how NPCish the modern west is, and how said NPCs can be whipped into a fanatical frenzy so fast that they begin to pressure not just governments, but every imaginable organization and institution on earth. Probably makes the old KGB agents feel a little envious.
I really wonder if they had a crystal ball to see the result now if they could have gone through with the invasion.
Russian game with large russian community has russian people put russian marking on russian tanks. lolWar Thunder and its own community is having its own issues in regards to the conflict:

Holy fuck that's a big deal. I mean I know polls are bullshit, but still a jump that size means there is some real traction.![]()
Finnish lawmakers to discuss potential NATO membership
Prime Minister Sanna Marin also announced that Finland would provide Ukraine with lethal aid.www.politico.eu
these are very close to Ukrainian numbers pre and post 2014 russian invasion and Crimea annexation. I believe it was 20% before, 63% after
World of Warships Blitz/Mobile shut down chat completely the day of the invasion, hasn't come back, and nothing of value was lost.War Thunder and its own community is having its own issues in regards to the conflict:

You ever wonder if even globohomo underestimated how much a frenzy they would whip up among their own populace? They probably wanted some level of astroturfed support just so that they can sanction Russia and also blame it on Vlad when prices come a-knocking, but two years of COVID must have really inflamed the underlying tension and boredom to a degree that even war sounded like a fun thing to do.It really is crazy. I have a relative in her 60s and she's full on acting just like the dumbass 18 year olds on Twitter (except she's on Facebook.) Constant retweets of the Ukrainian flag, thots and prayers, etc. She's even on the warpath, angry that my country (Canada, the rogue terrorist honk state) and the US aren't teleporting into Ukraine right now to blow up Iceland or whoever they're at war with. Now in fairness, this family member isn't exactly known for her intelligence but it's still pretty crazy. I'm quite sure that if I were to present her with a blank map of Ireland and ask her to point out to me where Keev (formerly Kiev's) is, she would point somewhere on it with the confidence that would rival only the most dimwitted Tik Tok witches or black Twitter social commentators (two groups who I've personally been pressuring NATO to nuke.)
More like:I didn't know the Soyjack face had such a long history.
Fuck your dog treats bitch, WW3 calls for steak dinner!Ukraine #LOOTCREW in full Engage mode. I could understand food and supplies. But big screen TV's? Dindu thinking.

Regarding Ukraine pleading with the civilians to fight and handing out guns, I have been conflicted about such actions.
There are no easy or good answers for situations like this. A foreign power is invading their soil.Being an American and owning close to 20 guns, I totally understand the militia / Red Dawn mentality. Heck, while I find the very idea of an foreign army being about to invade America and hold to to be silly, I still am partial to the idea of shooting a few people and screaming Wolverines!
But that's not what's happening in Ukraine. They are using people with little to no experience in firearms and expecting them to put up a resistance but that's just feeding a meat grinder. Nearly all will not being able to hit their target and will have difficulty changing fuck mags. It's basically a reckless use of a nations most important resource.
I think my biggest point of conflict is them being required to stay. I understand the reasoning, i guess I'm just feeling fortunate I'm not in that position. At least, in America their is widespread gun ownership where those that are new can be trained by a reasonably skilled person. Given all the wars we have fought, we have older veterans that can train partisan groups on basic tactics.
If Ukraine makes it out of this war, they are going to have a strong next generation of leaders. They definitely chose the path less traveled. All that is absent in the Ukraine and I just think throwing some guy who used to sling coffee into battle is a horrible idea.
