It's been Russian doctrine since at least ww2. I'm actually kind of surprised they still do it, I have to imagine it's led to significant casualties, especially in urban environments.

I don't like gore videos these days, may be the age and realising that a bit more ignorance is bliss.
That said, I can not wait for the whole Azuv unit or whatever they're called to be absolutely exterminated with absolute hate by the ones they've terrorized that much. Maybe even the Chechen will be like "that's too hardcore for us."

In Europe that would require Germany pulling their head out of their ass. They have a lot invested in their Energiewende scheme and crucial to it is Russian gas to keep the lights on when nature doesn't feel like providing. Why nuclear got the axe in this long-term GHG emissions reduction scheme? I dunno. They are fucking stupid, their plan is stupid, and none of it makes a damn bit of sense.

Don't let the Greens write your energy policy.

They gloves already came off the moment when the indiscriminate bombardment of cities started. This is not even just limited to Kharkiv, this is what a Kiev suburb looked like yesterday:





I think this is only going to get worse the longer this goes on. You can't reasonably take cities without bombing them beforehand. I just feel terrible for the civilians who are trapped in the middle of all this.
