Absolutely correct. For the last couple decades Russia has been successfully cultivating a relationship with Germany. Pulling them farther out of the sphere of the US both militarily and economically. And where Germany goes the EU follows. It was working. Russia's petro empire was built with these Euros.

That is all gone now and what we are going to watch the messy divorce as these bonds that were slowly built over decades snapped very publicly. We are back to the old east v west split. No more waffling euro back-stabbing douchebags in the middle.
