Schrodinger's testicle? If I remember correctly, Aaron Kimberly is a transman with an ovotesticular disorder, so I think that's a reference to Aaron's ovotestis. If testes make the man in CAIS, then Aaron having a mixed gonad means Aaron is between the sexes, right? Oh but Aaron got the ovotestis taken out. All that's left is one ovary. Problem solved? Idk this nonsense is eye rolling.
Looking into it,
Aaron Kimberly seems to be pretty gender critical (as far as a trans person can be, anyway). One thing he says is that his intersex condition (I'm using his pronouns out of expediency+respect, not because I think he's anything but female) can be susceptible to trooning out.
I believe the data shows that for intersex disorders on average, they generally don't troon out more often than the general population. Although specific subsets, and specific disorders, can be more susceptible to it.
I'm guessing disorders like CAH and Aaron's disorder might be in that group. Some girls with an intersex disorder, maybe a bit more butch than their peers, and their bodies producing excess testosterone (and the medical implications that comes with), probably makes them a prime target for the troon brigade to fuck with their heads.
Even women with non-intersex issues like PCOS struggle with these issues. Even self identifying lesbians who tell themselves they're supposed to be immune to self image issues, probably still stress out about it for a long time. Self esteem anxiety, especially about your natural body, sucks. It's awful and I wouldn't wish it on anyone (other than the internet troons I mock, but they're usually too coombrained to still be considered sentient at this point).
The sex flipped version of this is men with Kleinfelter syndrome struggling with low T and manboobs. Or even ordinary dudes being fat and unathletic, but that's more of a personal lifestyle issue.
This is stark contrast to CAIS women, which is where things get interesting. They're wholly immune to testosterone, and thus don't have to deal with any of these issues. They have their own set of issues, of course, but I think people can downplay them a bit. I'm sure there's a lot of "oh you're so lucky you don't menstruate / don't need to shave / have perfect skin / smell like a daisy / etc" going around about CAIS women.
This all very interesting in the context of Exulansic, of course, who is a desister (I don't think she medically transitioned in any way), who is overly sensitive about her (perfectly ordinary) looks, who now identifies as lesbian in Berkeley. She has a degree in gender studies. Real thunkful that this has triggered her so bad.
I don't want to get all armchair psych, but watching this go down has been very interesting to me.
