If you don't know about the Bataan Death March, its emergence in the American propaganda space in 1944, and its effects on American morale to continue pursuing total war with Japan, then I don't know what to say. You're literally too uneducated about the Pacific Theater to have an opinion.
I knew survivors of the Bataan Death March. People were aware of the POWs and general fuckery of the Imperial Japanese. They got what was coming to them and they’re lucky we weren’t 1/100th as psychotic as they were to the Chinese, POWs, Dutch, etc. Arguably they were more evil than the German Nazis.

Do all towns and cities just have air-raid sirens? Does western European cities still have them? Every piece of moder war footage I see both here in Ukrain and others have almost universally has the standard warble siren. Are they just a thing everywhere and we just don't know where the speakers/sirens are because they never get used?
Alot of cities even in the united states have them. I see them used for tornado warnings.

So I've been intentionally keeping this at arms length because propaganda is gay, but for me it comes down to one question:

Does Russia have an actual casus belli against Ukraine?

My gut says 'no' or else they wouldn't have led with the retarded 'denazification' excuse. And if they don't have a just cause to invade, then this whole thing is just Putin being a bitch and the rest of the world is right to call him on it.
The Russians claiming that the Ukrainians were developing nukes is likely horseshit as is the idea that the Ukraine was going to have a super cool hi-tec army with all the foreign money they were being given. If nothing else this war proves that wherever all that aid money was going it sure as fuck wasn't on modern weaponry.

My opinion, which is worth jack shit, is that Putin invaded for the reasons he's been crappin on about for years.

1, Ukraine joining NATO and becoming a forward base for the US is an absolute line in the sand.
2. Kiev is the birthplace of Russia and the motherland will never be whole without it and
3. The US is an implacable enemy and we will show them our nutsack so they never dare to cross us. Putin DOES NOT WANT to be color revolutioned.

So who's winning right now?
Who do you think?

Real question, if Russia annexes all the friendly Russian speaking areas, won’t that just leave the rest of Ukraine as very anti-Russian? Wasn’t part of the original point of leaving some Russian areas in Ukraine to help make the country more pro-Russian?

I voted against Brexit, and I get happier that 'we' lost with every passing day.
Yup, the EU only works as a partnership between similarly developed nations to allow trade and movement of people with legislation tailored only to achieving that. As soon as it started admitting shit holes and overstepping with its nonsense laws everyone should have realised it no longer functions as intended. Its pretty much a flimsy excuse for Germany to soft take up over Europe and end up with nukes by creating the EU army which France would be part of.

So the American volunteers are screwed if they get captured by Russians. More of Reddit should volunteer in that case
Encourage the children of members of Congress and all those tech billionaires to go join the mercs against Mother Russia.

That pro merc propaganda will be dropped fast and American citizens banned from joining any anti Russia group there using the Azov as a scapegoat.

The trick to defeating the united states is that you must attack around midday on the first wednesday of the month so everyone thinks its just the usual test. Then we wouldn't realize it is a real attack and be able to duck and cover under our schooldesks in time.

I have some frustrations between the major takeaways i got from this war vs this threads

1. "Har har obvious propaganda im too smart for it so you fail biden/trudeau/boris what have you

You are but its actually scary how unified and how overwhelmingly effective the propaganda has been in both making usually anti american people unquestionably support a nation with apparent racism and anti lgbt attitudes and pressure even lots of right wing figures or people who leaned away from ukraine or towards putin or non involvement, both in america and worldwide

2. "har har sanction the tanks you fucking ineffective faggots suck mah dick you aint stopping no bullets from hittin no dumbfuck ukrainian with a sanction border senile biden"

the west has actually scarily managed to cut russia off even from traditional allies and the vast majority of the world and major projects that would have or have been bolstering their economy., both via pressuring nations directly and pressuring companies via their social propaganda

3. Overall i think KF has mistaken fooling you guys effectively with fooling enough of the world effectively, we have youtubers being cancelled for not disavowing putin hard enough in the mobs opinion and we have people gleefully posting the names and faces of dead russian troops and trying to get tags associated with these images trending on social media. The western war machine has managed to successfully instill bloodlust and hawkish tendencies even in populations that traditionally were forced to oppose it and managed to get much softer condemnations of their invasions vs the invasions done by competing political blocks.

i think this had to have been partially planned given biden talking of long term weaning off russian oil to reduce their role over a period of time and the calculated precision propaganda targeting russia trying to portray itself as a strong masculine military power and competing economic force. it all seems to have perfectly enabled narratives and actions that target a main piece of a block trying to compete with the west and is diminishing one of their main competitor nations.

granted its been moving really fast so these might be the standard regurgitated takes but all ive seen is people deriding and laughing at things they havent fallen for ignoring the fact an alarming number of people have fallen for it.

Does Russia have an actual casus belli against Ukraine?
interestingly i think they actually did but they essentially wasted it or it was ignored and they were forced to abandon it i forget which. iirc eastern ukrainians who were more aligned with russia culturally were actually getting fucked with by some ukrainian groups and the government doing things like suppressing linguistic minorities. its clear russia now is just using it to create a puppet state or annex it outright or to threaten the west though.

Edit dunno how close russia and east Ukrainians were politically though just in case disclaimer

yes lol, and the Russian speaking parts of Ukraine aren't even friendly to the Russians.

They didn't drop them specifically on the shipyards because they couldn't. Bomber accuracy was horrible in WW2. Even the US, which probably had the most accurate bombers in the world by the end of war, was only able to get around 15% of their bombs to fall within 1000 feet of their intended target. Most bombs went wildly off course. That's why most of the belligerents engaged in carpet-bombing rather than trying to hit specific objectives.
The Nagasaki bomb crew, in particular had orders to use visual sighting. The original target, Kokura, was saved due to cloud cover preventing this. Due to this, the secondary target, Nagasaki was hit.

"The weapons expert on ‘Bockscar’ was Commander Ashworth. Sweeney had been ordered that only a visual run was allowed – not a run guided by radar. Ashworth told Sweeney that radar would have to be used if Nagasaki was covered in cloud – it was. Most of Sweeney’s bombing run was done using radar but at the last minute a break in the cloud was found by the bomb aimer. He targeted a race track and at 28,900 feet, ‘Fat Man’ was dropped." -- https://www.historylearningsite.co....fic-war-1941-to-1945/the-bombing-of-nagasaki/

"Warning: Graphic video. This what happens when you give away weapons to civilians, without doing the appropriate checks. Most likely being attacked for looking like #chechen. #Ukraine"

Maybe Universal Background Checks in Ukraine are a good idea to keep guns out of retarded untrained slavniggers indoctrinated with a high level of paranoia from their kike in charge.

We just need those background checks and boom, there will be less of this. /sneed

Without revealing power level, cutting of Russia just cost a major company I deal with some fairly significant offices. They told us certain product lines we were expecting simply are not happening until Washington gets bored or Moscow hires Hunter Biden as a consultant. If they cut off India, too, they're fucked, and so are we. Since we have a mush-brained retard in the Oval Office who personally made millions off this slavic shithole, though, anything could happen.

If only Putin just gave a trillion dollars to the Clinton foundation and hired Hunter to be Chief Krokodil Minister, I bet my left foot that they would have condemned Ukraine and Azov sturmvodka in a heartbeat.

i think that's mostly because there is no real need for it
ukraine doesn't have planes flying anymore i think, so no need for russian planes to try and shoot them down
and beyond that, what does aircraft do that you can't also get done with rocket artillery? not much, so they probably prefer to keep their expensive planes safe on some airfield while ground forces get the work done instead.

much easier and cheaper to rebuild a lost grad truck than to rebuild a lost fighter jet. also much easier to train people in how to drive and operate a grad truck (or other artillery vehicle) than to train a fighter jet pilot.

That, and I feel like they are holding the good shit back. Either because it is few, or they are really thinking Nato will go in.

No, he just said "fuck it", took -2 hit to stability and is dealing with +20 agressive expansion. Duh.

Ukraine's oppression of minorities is very based. If it was not Hungarian clay, I would find it admirable lol. Russia may not have legal casus belli, I am not a lawyer, but they got a cause.

I just got weird possibility in my head what if the reason Russia send conscript etc was force recon ? waste Ukrainian ammunition and see what tools they have the hit those with regular profesional army.

Yeah, or see above, holding the good shit back for Poland if they decide to Kurwa into the east.

Chinamen never says no to skimming profits , especially if its a new market with little actual effort.
