There's been a suspicious amount of /pol/ threads encouraging people to side with Russia because "ZELENSKY IS A GLOBALIST JEW! PUTIN IS A BASED AND REDPILLED ARYAN!" but it's very possible it's just wignats posting wignat things.

I've seen plenty of the opposite as well, pointing to the de-Nazification rhetoric and the number of Jewish oligarchs in Russia amongst other things. /pol/ has pretty much become an unusable cesspool since 2016, hard to glean anything from there. I can tell you that the non-mainstream RW opinion is in general quite divided on who to back with a few washing their hands of the whole ordeal and remaining neutral.

The tragedy of image boards is that its very easy to use bots or use paid shill, since everything is anonymous. You can imagine a board like /pol/ gets a lot of attention from bad actors. In the age of "Dead Internet" old fashion forums like this is the best way to mitigate bot and shill spamming.

Reddit suffers a worse problem because of how easy it is to create consensus through vote brigading; that's why it's good that stickers here basically do nothing.

the west is really really really fucking good at making sure facts dont matter as long as youre emotionally invested enough to keep continuing on the main path of what they want you to think to the point you bias out any things against narrative or that offer bumps for part of it or add nuance. russia seems to only really be able to use far right messaging and irony meant to mask far right appeal to irritate normies and appeal to certain people in america that dont hold much sway.
