I really think these sanctions, both financial and cultural are going to backfire on the west, they are going too far with it. It's not anti-Putin or anti-Russian government, it's outright anti-Russian people. They are hoping to make things untenable domestically for Putin but what's going to happen is they are just going to piss the Russian people off and they will become a more closed tighter society with an us against the world sort of thing. I mean do these retards not see how perfectly the Russian government can use Canada detaining normal Russians and Graham calling for Putin's assassination as propaganda to their people?

I've been constantly making the mistake of watching some Canadian news the last few night to see what the Boomers and other reprobates are being told. Each night of course leads off with about 15-25 minutes of Ukraine discussion. As expected it's a lot of talk about how the Ukrainians are putting up a fight and how so and so is condemning Russia. Last night they pushed the story about the Holocaust memorial being part of the receiving end of a bombing; no retraction or updates were given tonight.

This evening the two big stories were about how Ukraine has been receiving millions of dollars in Bitcoin, Dogecoin and Ethereum donations; people have even been donating NFT's, including one that was worth over $200,000 and one of a Ukrainian flag whose amount I forget already. The "Don't think as I tug at your heartstrings" portion focused on some young (I think 18 years old) ballet dancer is heading to Ukraine to get obliterated if he gets into the fight defend Ukraine.

Every politician, every journoscum and every "influencer" who is riling up impressionable dipshits for war deserves to be put into a wood chipper feet first. Those who are doing this and have absolutely no risk of being involved in the fighting (the elderly, the ultra wealthy and connected, etc.) should be fed through at half speed. I mean that all of this should only take place in Minecraft haha... unless?

Sanctions and anti-Russian actions will only piss off Russians. I think that the west plans to spark an uprising there, pressing on citizens with showing them how fucked and isolated they can become. Thing is, it wouldn't work. Majority of Russia still supports Putin one way or another. Then, another part wants to be apolitical and don't want to be involved in anything. Only small and loud minority it seems is ready to go out on the streets, but they are the ultimate soy LARPers who run away like little bitches the moment they see a policeman.

Russian media pushes a story that Russia is cornered on all sides by NATO and all actions are justified to protect Russia and it's interests. This, and protecting Russians in Ukraine. Say what you want about this story, I think this is fair, but I still don't like that my country is sodomized by Russian artillery because of it. Globohomo vs The Vlad story is pretty understandable, the west fucks with anyone they want. But this stuff about saving poor Russians in Ukraine is laughable.
