Even with a VPN, do you think the Western propaganda is going to convince Russians? Just as an example, we have had a few high profile international Russians, some Ukrainians, come out and support Putin due to him doing what they feel was the appropriate actions considering Ukraines shelling of the Donbaus for the last 8 years.

There is no mention of said shelling in any Western reporting on this. If I'm Russian and I know that shelling has been happening, and the West isn't reporting on that at all I'm much more likely to then believe the propaganda I'm getting in Russia that the West hates me, not Putin and Putin is protecting me.
