General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

Now let's see if Niji already cornered the male market or not. 2 waves in and Holo hasn't even started auditions yet. Anyone half decent probably already got into Niji at this point.
I imagine Niji dropouts will apply to Holo.

Is this an indication that Cover watching Anycolor closely to decide that male EN is worth it?

It'll be interesting to see if:
  1. They'll have limited or outright blocked access to main hololive assets i.e. talents - like JP homos.
  2. They'll receive any promotion.
Well, it IS a Hololive audition and not Holostar.

My guess is that they are trying out this new demographic and if it works they will migrate Holostars to Hololive too and do more mixed stuff in the future(At least on the EN side)

I'm honestly curious if Conner is blacklisted by default. Like if he did apply and even if his audition was stellar..would they let him in knowing the absolute shitstorm that would come from the cuckbeats?

Actually, fuck it. I hope he applies and gets in.
He is an extremely successful streamer making a lot of money out of lazy low production content. It would be extremely stupid of him to abandon his current career for something uncertain. He would need to have some sort of mental disability to even think thats a good idea.

Well, he is a bonger I guess.

I already forgot those 2 JP Holostars
Such is the way of the JPstars. I can only hope the new StarsEN will be good. I would hate to sit here and dislike them after wanting to see what a StarsEN would look like, but so far Cover have not yet had someone that I just couldn't stand to watch except early Kiara, but even she eventually got better and I actually like her more than Mori sometimes. So I walk into this with hope and only slight dread just like with any other release.

And they do this a little after Ni open auditions again but is going to be hard to compete with the heavy hitters that Anycolor got
I don't really understand this sentiment. The male talent pool in regards to online creation (specifically streaming and playing games) must be leagues bigger than the female talent pool, and even if it wasn't, I don't think that Niji plucking 9 dudes from it really matters all that much. Do we really think the well has dried up after less than 10 of them have been chosen?

That's just branding. Hololive is the more recognisable name. It's still 'Hololive (Production) English'.

Two separate audition processes lends to two separate entities. I'd be very interested in how StarsEN and EN3 are affected by each others' existence if they debut relatively close to one another.

They'll also need to decide on if the future of HoloEN is co-ed or not. Even NijiEN had a tonal shift when Luxiem debuted, and while I'm not a schizo that thinks the branch became an unwatchable travesty because my favourites collab with men, it's definitely a different atmosphere. Is such a shift in culture something worth Cover risking? If no, then the male auditionees would either have to gamble on being self-sustaining and keeping an audience that doesn't exist yet, or audition for tried-and-true NijiEN where they're way more free to collab in and out of the company.

Very interesting times ahead. On the bright side, if they are segregated by gender, at least that might entice NijiEN's psycho fujos to jump ship to a group that can ONLY interact with other men rather than compromise.

Why would he? He's a big streamer in his own right and got ridiculous levels of support from the Bubi debut AND he has close links to IronMouse and by extension Vshojo. All that money goes to him, no cut to Cover.

He doesn't need holo backing and has enough on his plate as it is with TT and his personal channels.

Real question is how much will ENstars be allowed to interact with the Holo girls. I feel like they will never be allowed to mingle at the same level Niji lets their members, looking at how they treat HoloStars.

Some of us just want to watch the hilarity ensue if it did happen, as extremely unlikely as it is.

Calli jumped straight in with HoloStar collabs and songs, along with Trash Taste, sat right next to penis-havers, as soon as possible after debut to break that barrier down, with EN boys I reckon she'd be leading the charge to lift them up as long as they are deserving, which from previous Cover hiring process is a given.

EN is a MUCH more open network of girls to collab amongst. Myth very deliberately brought council and iRyS into the fold as equals and were desperate to protect them from the pain they went through the months after debut, not just senpai etc. Only playing that up for the memes.

I'm looking forward to it.

Come on there is no restrictions on this. The one who don't want to interact with them are the talents themselves. If they want to interact with them they can just look at matsuri and fubuki.
