I've been suspecting they'll go full 'MUH DEMOCRACY', prevent the transfer of power, use the military to block stuff- it sounds stupid, but by now I've learned that the democrats always end up doing what they say others do if they haven't done it themselves in secret already.

The issue is that Keystone was never finished, so despite Psaki being an utter cunt about it, she's right that undoing the cancellation would have no short-term effects on oil prices. She tried to lay the blame on oil companies for not expanding their operations on existing leases, but frankly, I don't blame them for being hesitant. This administration is much more hostile towards fossil fuels (no shocker when the Department of Energy is full of greenie wackjobs), and even if they went full "drill baby drill"-mode tomorrow, what's to say they wouldn't renege on that as soon as this immediate crisis was over? Nobody wants to be left holding the bag after building out a bunch of infrastructure that they won't be able to recoup their investment on.
The voting public may not always be well-informed, but I'd hazard a guess that enough of them are at least intelligent enough to remember a couple years back when gas was literally half as expensive as it is today, as well as who was in charge back then. Mean tweets don't seem quite so bad anymore, do they?

I don't believe for one millisecond that they'll actually reopen Keystone. Biden and his eco-terrorist officials are adamant about forcing sham green energy on the USA with us plebs footing the bill for the infrastructure and EVs.

Kamala sounds like she's trying to reach the minimum word limit for an essay. The phrasing she uses is kind of infantilizing and redundant. People aren't stupid. Most of them don't care about the geopolitical issues that got both Ukraine and Russia here in this situation in the first place. But a brief overview of "Russia did X, so in response, Ukraine did Y" should suffice.

Wage growth was only 0.5%, so with inflation you're not making more, and when it's that low it seems like we're back to the Obama era where people are just working to make ends meet. The employer is retaining power the employee had for almost the past 4 years.

It's because she, and other politicians like her, have their heads firmly lodged up their asses and think their shit doesn't stink. When people don't bend their knees in reverence and scatter roses petals before them so their feet don't touch the ground, they don't think "What am I doing wrong that makes people dislike me and my policies?" What they think is "These stupid plebeians! I'll show them what happens when they don't give me the respect I deserve!" They're are completely out of touch.

Apparently Inflation is not the only reason why gas prices are going up. Gas companies are purposefully upping them and causing "pandemic profiteering". The New York State attorney general is trying to make sure that doesn't happen
