Lol ok. Russia's main export to the Ukraine is cancelled guys. Pack it in. World is over.

The rest goes to India which they say Russia embargoed for some reason. One of the few places left to trade the one commodity they can manufacture en masse with the surplus of gas they now have. This all makes sense somehow.

Zero Hedge is such a retard doomer site. I don't know why people take it seriously.

Welp. That's one way to kick off 2022. And 2023. With a famine.
So it’s Arabian Spring part 2: sand over Europe‘s buggalloo?
This shit is bad, really bad. Compared to the Ukraine and it’s people this has potential of being one reason for an all out war in the Middle East between everyone.

I have been thinking for years a good blanket firebombing would do the middle east some good, but maybe they'll do it for me.

Fucking hell. So earlier today Russia stated they were banning exports of fertilizers, which will cause food prices to explode, and now Hungary is banning all grains exports.
This is not a drill.

(Update 1:25pm ET) - Those who have it, are no longer giving it away, and those that don't will soon find themselves in the middle of an epic food crisis.

Just hours after we reported that Russia effectively banned exports of fertilizers, moments ago Hungary - one of Europe's most grain rich nations - has circled the wagons and realizing which way the wind is blowing, just announced that it will banning all grain exports effective immediately, in a statement .

Expect wheat prices, already at record highs, to promptly double from here in the next few weeks as the world realizes the extent of the global food crisis that is coming.

Our suggestion: buy flour, rice, barley and any other grains you can now, rather than waiting one month to buy them because you have to.

* * *

Earlier

This morning we listed some of the countries that are dangerously (and almost exclusively) reliant on Russia and Ukraine for their wheat imports, highlighting Turkey, Egypt, Tunisia and others...

... which are facing an "Arab Spring" style food crisis (and potential uprising) in the coming weeks unless the Ukraine conflict is resolved.

And unfortunately, we can now confidently predict that the coming food crisis will strike every country that is using food fertilizer - which is all - because moments ago, Russian Interfax reported that as part of Moscow's countersanctions, Russia has recommended fertilizer makers to halt exports, a move which will sent not only fertilizer prices orbitally higher, but all food prices will soon follow.

  • *RUSSIA RECOMMENDS FERTILIZER MAKERS TO HALT EXPORTS: IFX
  • *RUSSIAN MINISTRY CITES LOGISTICS ISSUES ON FERTILIZERS: IFX
Worse still, natural gas is required in the manufacturing process for most nitrogen/fertilizer products and so the recent surge in European NatGas prices to record highs will only exacerbate the cost of fertilizer from any halt from Russia...

And with wheat prices already at all time highs...

... all hell is about to break loose not only among food producers, but soon, in your local grocery store once US consumers realize that food prices are about to double, triple and x-ple more.
They're banning grain exports?

Then let them eat soy.
The world will be told to shave their hair off for fertilizer, making everyone wear the sideshave SJW haircut.
That awful haircut is bad enough, but to force everyone to do it? NYET!
God damn, i hate these people.
Tell me that you're in a cult without saying that you are in a cult.

Ukrainian conscription confirmed for those that were saying "it's only army reservists".

Dad who flew family from UK to Ukraine for ski holiday forced to sign up to fight Russia

A dad who took his family on a skiing holiday to his native Ukraine has spoken of his fears that he could be drafted into the army to fight against the Russians

Tymofii Dmytrenko, 39, went with his wife and two children for the skiing trip, but claims he has now been put on standby to fight Russian forces following the invasion eight days ago.

The IT specialist, known as Tim, said he had originally left the UK for Kyiv on February 18, intending to hit the slopes and visit his parents during a ten-day visit.

But after the family heard President Biden warning about the threat of invasion, they cut their holiday short and attempted to flee for the border.

Tim helped his wife Iryna, 36, and their two children, 11 and 15, get into neighbouring Slovakia, and the three of them have since made the journey back to the UK.

But he says he has been forced to sign up for the military and remains on hand to join the war. All Ukrainian men aged 18 to 60 are now required to stay and fight under martial law.

He said: “I think I am ready to serve my country, but I have mixed feelings. I have never held a gun or shot from it, and I don’t have any real military experience.

“I feel like without any proper training I’m kind of a meat bag at this moment in time, and this is worrying. I don’t know how these things will progress."

He added: “It’s still a shock to many people here. We still don’t understand that this can be happening in the middle of Europe, next to the European Union.

“We have parents living in Ukraine, and basically we usually combine leisure trips with seeing family and friends.

“We came to Kyiv on February 18 and spent two days there, and then we went to a ski resort and spent a few days there.

“But everything was changing very quickly, and we decided it was probably better to fly back from Lviv, and we bought new tickets to fly on February 25."

However, Tim and his family’s plans unravelled a day before they were set to come back to Britain after Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24.

He, like millions of refugees, then became stuck in the Western part of the country but they did manage to get take a taxi to Uzhhorod, near the border with Slovakia.

He said: “We spent roughly four hours queuing for fuel because when the taxi came to us, its tank was nearly empty. The queues were absolutely massive.

“When we came to Uzhhorod, we then waited for a bus for two hours with our kids. The estimated arrival time was 11:30 pm, but it didn’t come.

Tim later contacted a friend living in a nearby city, and at 1am on February 25, he collected them and allowed them to sleep in his apartment for the night. The following morning, he managed to book tickets for his wife and two children to get a bus to a small town over the border with Slovakia.

He was unable to go with them due to martial law.

He said: “I put my wife and kids on that bus at 4pm, and it was a heart-breaking moment for me and my family.

“Everyone was crying, my kids were crying, my wife was crying. I wasn’t able to stop crying for a few hours after that. But luckily, they got through the border."

After saying his goodbyes, Tim went to the military registration office, where he was put on standby to join the war against advancing Russian troops.

Of course the commenting normies are 100% on board with someone being conscripted while on holiday.

God fucking damn the Slavs with this shit. First their petty autism spikes gas prices and now it's going to spike food prices. Fuck off, any sympathy I had for the Ukraine is collapsing with this shit.
Hahahaha lol no it is the US government causing the high gas prices. They were steadily rising before the first tank rolled in (the felting of domestic oil production because muh climate change) and it's not the Ukrainian citizens' fault anyway - they didn't ask to be invaded. It's also not the fault of Russian citizens.

Additionally, this is what happens when world leaders don't fear any others; Biden is a demented puppet beholden to China, a "friend" of Russia, so Putin knows he won't really do shit.

If you voted Biden it's the future you chose, not a grave. Unfortunately you're dragging the rest of us down with you.

Despite being on a site founded on documentation of facts in order to laugh at people, the average Kiwi is about as well-informed as a tin can with a contrarian worldview you can identify by which buzzwords they do or do not use. A&H is the best place to be for live spergwatching, though

Those posting about how dumb it is for businesses to close down Russian branches and cease doing business with Russian customers: Yes, it's dumb and will do nothing to move the needle in the war. But I wonder how many people were made unemployed or unable to buy certain goods in Ukraine due to the crisis of their country being bombed and invaded.

I'm gonna bow out of this thread. The signal to noise ratio is too low. The ten thousand Sam Hyde and "BREAKING: The X of Kyiv" memes really put the "shit" in shitposting and I'm so sick of the occupation and destruction of one foreign country by another being justified because there are trans and Jewish people working at Google or whatever. I guess it's on me for expecting more from a Habbenings thread, though. I never learn.

May the people of Russia and Ukraine live in peace and prosperity, despite the best efforts of their governments.
Personally I don't blame people here. The western media pushes propaganda down peoples throats 24/7 and I think they are tired of it.

I wonder why the west is silent when USA bombs another brown shithole, but when Russia invades Ukraine, suddenly they are criminals and even average Russians are considered to be bad. Almost makes you think, huh?

Also the fact that people around the world virtue-signal non-stop and show their half assed attempts at saving Ukraine. And why? For USA citizens, Ukraine is some country in the middle of nowhere. Why should they care? Why people need to cry over stuff that takes place on the other side of the globe and don't affect them personally? I'm not an unempathetic asshole, it's sad that people suffer around the world. But being sad over starving African children and dead Ukrainian babies is silly. You can't save them. You should care about what is going on in your country, in your state and in your city.

This is why people shitpost here. Because they are fed up with those silly propaganda campaigns. I can understand them. Even though it saddens me greatly that my countrymen are dying everyday left and right, it's not bad that people from USA treat it as a great source of memes. Why shouldn't they? Stop moralfagging, the war will not stop because of it. Just sit back and enjoy the show and pray that it will not happen to you and your family.

Can Zelensky stop taking this situation like it's a movie.

He thinks he's Luke Skywalker down the Deathstar Trench run, tweeting for the miracle shot to happen and hoping to get saved by the Milenium Nato Falcon.
Every time I see some basic ass bitch treat modern conflict like Star Wars I die a little more inside.
