Star Trek - Space: The Final Frontier

As much as I like Q, bringing him back when he has demonstrably aged completely removes the immersion of Q being you know a near omnipotent divine being.

Speaking of what did Q in Picard? Wasn't it something time travel related (I haven't tortured myself enough to watch the show)?

Ageing Q can be done by proper writers. Q has always dressed in the rank of the person he was talked to. That he wants to look "old" as Picard is something he absolutely would do.

It's like no one in the writers' room know that he loved Beverly since the first day he met her.
No one in the writers' room know who Beverly is.

Something fucked with time, so Q supposedly send Picard and Co to “present day” to fix things.

I've seen whatever series this is using designs from STO, basically fooling ST fans into thinking the new trek stuff is now worth a damn. I've talked with ship autists before, they reeee if the Yorktown or Miranda class isn't designed exactly right.
STO mostly been on the dot in as far being faithful to the legacy [stock] ship designs from the series, movies, books as with the Titan class and other sources where applicable.
STO Yorktown class is an entirely different class from the Star Trek Legacies version. As the STO Yorktown design was the winner of a player submitted ship design contest. Which the players also choose the winning design.

Picard's mom getting beat up is more Patrick Steward meddling. Shaka when the walls fell, Picard doesn't have to have your fucking exact life you senile bald fuck.
Stewart never ceases to find new ways to make himself look like a horse's ass. Is there anyone more of an embarrassment in Trek? Even Takei respects classic Star Trek and respects his character.

Convince Kurtzman's parents not to get married?
I wish.

I’m sure them coming to modern day with just involve a lot of them preaching to the audience as well as a side-story involving Seven and the druggie pilot being lesbians together.

If it's set in 2024 then it's to stop the evil Blumpf (Soong?) from winning again.

It's just an excuse to bring Data back into the fold, and the comical excesses of Spiner's schtick and Stewart's dullness have rendered those characters irritating.

Wait, seriously? Didn’t the first season literally end with Picard talking to Data’s mind on backup or whatever and he was all “Dude, fucking kill me” and then Picard killed him?

Just watched Picard, I want my money back. And as usual I didn't even pay for it.

Early in the episode Picard mentions updating the Kobayashi Maru, my hope is that this entire season after that is 100% holodeck with his new simulation. And at the end the other Admirals tell him that no, they're going to keep the original.

And said robot has to be old and enfeebled. He can't have a sexy, young body that can handle all the action this show throws at him.
Oh, I’m sure if he ends up unfortunately passing in real life, they’re ready to “reboot” the robot into a younger body so as to continue the series.

Voyager's ok and has a pretty good intro/intro music, but Janeway's a bitch and the episode involving the crew evolving into lizards is...bizarre, to say the least.
Janeway's character writing is crazy inconsistent. Like they need a reason for the plot to not get resolved immediately so they just decide to make Janeway be a fucking bitch who ruins everything and believes no one for.... some reason?

"It's the Starfleet way."

But yeah, Janeway was a proto-woke character.* She was, at least conceptually, a 90s female executive. Her character is supposed to be tough and no-nonsense, but when that attitude is applied poorly, it comes across as insecure and controlling. Nazi Janeway was just regular Janeway up a few notches.

*Whatever wokeness Sisko got came from Avery Brooks himself. The character himself was not woke.

I feel like a lot of the inconsistency with janeway also comes down to to the writers being completly spineless. They could have had her completly adhere to the prime directive while in the delta quadrant or chose to diregard it and do whatever it takes to get home, either option would have caused long lasting conflict with the crew and I guess thats too much trouble. To avoid that her moral code is instead whatever the episode needs for the plot to happen, some days they wont share thier technology no matter what and other they're just handing out replicators left and right.
It's not like they couldn't have done both either, It would have been really cool if there was a slow degredation of her values over time as the situation becomes more dire. Of course that was never a problem though because theres an intergalactic supermarket always within range in the delta quadrant.

what I'm saying is, why couldn't we have had a show about the Equinox instead?

And don't forget Guinan is going to be killed/injured by a cop in 2024 which makes Earth a fascist dictatorship in the 24th century. Who's willing to bet Kurtzman and his kike friends are going to fuck up portraying the evils of fascism and go full Starship Troopers accidentally making a fascist nation look better than the dysgenic democracy we live in.
