General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

I don't understand why people want an integration so much. If you want integration, there is Anycolor. My first thought when I saw HoloStars En is "I wonder who will be Roberu's English speaking buddy" or "I wonder if there will be a male metal vtuber in Cover", not "Gee, I hope that will tore down the wall like Cool Aid man". Call me autistic if you must, but I like Cover's model of individual streams, compared to "random unplanned collabs go". Also, what is wrong with HoloStars standing at their own two feet? Nothing, and if anything I want to see HoloStars be bigger by themselves. Collabs should happen because the vtubers will have fun and so will the audience, and not for anything else. Do not go to an autistic dichotomy of "you either support HoloStars or you want to make HoloLive Production be Nijisanji". Instead, be interested and willing to watch and keep watching HoloStars regardless of what happens. They have been able to get as far as they got by their own accord, and they deserve to at least have that recognised. In conclusion, tribalism is autism.
I asked the same back then and the general answer i got was "i want the girls interact with more people so they can produce better content" or "im bored of the female only interactions, i want a penis-haver there". Most ignore what made holoEN a boom when it debuted and what makes it still popular, its basically peak cute girls doing cute/comedic things but for general audiences. The people that want full male-female interactions already had that granted with welshman/mouse or nijiEN, it makes no sense trying to impose that type of content into a different sphere like holoEN no matter how much you like it, i mean you dont want people to impose the holoEN individualism into nijiEn or vshojo as well right?

Edit: To clarify, im not againist female-male vtuber collabs, if Calli, Bae or others want to do so, so be it. I just dont think it has to be a norm neither a obligation for all holoEN girls and the future holostarsEN to constantly collab between them like nijiEN does.

remember to have a seperate Discord account for your personal shit too! :story:
And if you don't want to, at least have a plan to make your self-destruction as amusing as or better than Rushia's.

Huh, so not autism like so many people thought. Well there ya go, fellas.
American doctors handed out ADHD diagnosis to her age group like candy on halloween, so excuse me if I remain skeptical. Gotta get the commission on the scripts somehow.

Good luck to all the hopefuls here. Remember, you know what to put as your favorite food and animal at debut.

Also, your opsec better be impeccable.
The only thing holding me back from applying is the "You have a proven track record for content distribution (including, but not limited to, games, songs, and illustrations)" clause. Does shitting up forums count as content distribution?

They'll ignore that part if you're Subaru or Sana.

My "content distribution" is pre-internet, mostly. Here's me in the Pitchfork 'best albums of the '90s' list and being cited in sixty musicology papers won't impress the cartoon girl company. And they wouldn't believe me if I told them what memes I invented (and neither would you guys).

I'd actually like to have the job, and I'm a little annoyed that it's impossible.

Song for this feel:

Enna making cookies is excellent end of the week work finishing up stuff. Niji should try and set it up so every weekday one of them is doing a cooking/baking/whatever stream, I almost see it like the vtuber equivalent of going to exercise and not being a NEET.

Naki Kamizuki did a collab with the Go Go Nippon duo, it was surprisingly fun and made me look into the two more. Non Anon hit 10k but then got sidelined for a week with strep throat, and it seems like they were finally told to remove Sumi from their genmate channels, feels.

Ghost was supposed to have a collab on Uno with the bois but Ubisoft decided to shit the servers to mine more crypto

Is Reimu the most punished vtuber from the big channels? Because it sure feels like it even before you take her malding into account. Reimu should become a noun, to carry on despite everyone flinging shit your way.

Since it's already Irys' birthday: what happened to her new year outfit, shouldn't it be about time it was ready? I mean the new year is over but I don't hope they are planning to release it 2023.
The enduring rrat is she's asked for a complete redesign to have her official model fall more in line with her peers. According to the /vt/ sludge, she's also asking to be colored lighter-skinned (because on some mario kart streams she manually adjusted the brightness to a lighter tone). My guess is either it'll be debuted at a milestone, or as a surprise.

I said this last time. People who have been clamouring for StarsEN should be wanting them either for them or for the betterment of StarsJP, because wanting them on the sole stipulation that they open up the walled garden specifically built around the girls feels very much like wanting your brand loyalty-tasting cake and eating it too.

If you want that kind of dynamic, there's 20 members of Niji right there. People will say that they don't have time to keep up with more V-Tubers but will absolutely be giving Stars and EN3 a shot. And besides, just because you like X number of Holos does not inherently mean that they can offer a comparable experience. They barely seem to enjoy collaborating amongst themselves sometimes, never mind guys.

That said, I'll pull you up on one thing. I don't think that wanting mixed-gender collabs inherently means you want impromptu collabs (even though I think this thread's opinion on NijiEN impromptu collabs is massively overblown), it just means they want the door open.

I mean look at this way: Where do you think the boys are going to go if collabs with HoloEN is seen to be a circus of hoops they need to jump through and having to hold themselves back as not to upset the status quo? Well, much like the JP branch, StarsEN would just become a retarded half-brother of other EN companies that'll actually bother with them.

Honestly I don't give a crap about holostars. I don't watch any of the JP and I don't really have any plans to watch EN whenever they debut. I also don't watch any of the Niji guys either. BUT I want to normalize the girls interacting with males and that it is OK. I don't have any problems if they wanted to collab or whatever with them. I really hope it will weed out the idol-type fans who are toxic to vtubers and give it such a bad stigma, especially it seems on the hololive side. And hey maybe the guys will be interesting and it'll be a bonus.

One thing that I was hoping would come out of the Rushia debacle was that some of them would come out and support her by revealing that they also have boyfriends (or some kind of partner anyway), and maybe it would go some way towards making progress in that regard. But then she got fired and there wasn't really any point, so it was just business as usual from there.

They certainly enough slung Ritalin, Adderall and Vyvanse (fuck that stuff with a brick) around like they were candy. How much you want to bet she's been off that shit for...oh, maybe forever? She just, you know, self-medicates these days...

Mmm, Adderall doesn't actually taste that bad, though

I don’t know. Roberu being called "the one that did everyone at AniMare" and having collabs with Kagura Mea and Tamaki-kun (lest we forget to talk about everyone who came as a guest in Bar Robel), and Arurandeisu-papa just recently having a collab with Rene from SugarLyric and Lain from Nijisanji (lest we forget how many he has called on his talking streams) are not something that I would undervalue.

Now, about HoloStarsEn, well why not try to be big by themselves if branch interaction is similar to the iron curtain?

I don't see why some people here dislike Nina, I've been enjoying her interactions with others and lifting newcomers who come in.
I dislike the whole "mommy" bs, and the fact that she just acts and feels like a generic 20something with an avatar slapped ontop, if i wanted to watch that kind of person i would just watch normal female streamers without the mask. In general i fucking despise hornybaiting in the Vtuber community since it's basically the lowest, bottom-of-the-barrel shit to get clicks, it's also one of the many reasons i dislike a lot of indies.

Well you see, in this thread most people don't really give a shit about Holostars, they only care because it's Cover's biggest, long standing blunder and an easy way to criticise them. Ontop of that, the fact that they seemingly prohibit the branches from mingling really tickles people's hatred of company meddling, even if the company is completely within their right to do whatever they want with the product they are selling, the fact that Holostars flopped only reinforces the "Corpo is evil and doing them wrong", despite the fact that these people could all quit if they disliked their work like that one guy did.
